how fast can you put on a brigandine a pair of greaves and gauntlets while a tall yellow elf is shooting fireballs at you ?
a better idea would be to have them just leg it, and let the player handle the escort.

Man ... Although it wasn't the best of years. I whish I have the free time I had in 2018 to just dim my room and get lost in this games' world and mods for days at times.
So glad it's still thriving though, thanks for the reply !

Good point, of course. But all the same, it'd be nice to send him on his way  with his proper armour on...

I have an issue but don't want to rush and report it as a bug.

I located a Stormcloak prisoner being escorted by some Imperial soldiers. I made a save, freed and gave the prisoner some equipment (a weapon, some armor and a helmet) and... nothing happened. Well, to be exact, the prisoner did equip everything I gave him and even drew his weapon, but the escort carried on as normal. When I tried to talk to the prisoner, he gave me the usual "if you know any true sons... etc" dialogue before walking on. The imperials immediately turned hostile only when spoken to and only one at a time.

Is this mod now broken or am I missing something?

Nearly a year on, I thought I'd try this again on a vanilla save and the same issue happens. It appears that this mod is not working now :(

works as intended if you kill the soldiers first

Hmm....can't say I'd mind being able to free the prisoner without having to murder the Imperial escort (Thalmor, of course, get massacred anyway, whether escorting prisoners or not)  ; )

Can you do this for Legendary Edition as well? My comp can't handle SE with too many mods...

    I can't afford a new Computer.

It's a thoughtful tweak, although I also understand the reasoning why just handing them a weapon is more "realistic" in that you couldn't expect the prisoner to start putting on a chaimail cuirass while the Thalmor are out for blood. Only the PC can change entire outfits in mid-swing, lol.

Some sort of outfit changing restriction might be a nice idea for a mod. Right now, only Skyrim Souls realtime menu is the only deterrent to such behavior.

Just want to verify, is this something that is fixed in another mid such as ussep. I love the idea.

I use USSEP and they will still only use the weapons and shields I give them. They won't wear any armor or shoes for me. Going to give this a try, see if I can actually outfit them properly.

YES ! this is a great idea! Another great fix would have followers simply equip the last thing you give them exactly the way it worked on morrowind, regardless of skill level .
