Quick question before I attempt to install. I would like to use this mod alongside an arachnophobia mod which switches the models of the game's spiders. Will this conflict at all, and is there a way to prevent that? I am just worried because this mod is manually installed rather than done through Vortex, so I am unsure if I will be able to make the arachnophobia mod prioritized. Edit: I see now that the individual files are downloaded via the mod manager, and it doesn't seem like the mod changes enemies, mostly environments and such.
Maybe this is complete user error on my part, but with these mods I see it taking up almost 15 GB of VRAM instead of going into system RAM, the game will almost never use more than 8GB of system RAM
Just think for a second about what you're saying. This mod has 10s of thousands of endorsements, millions of downloads, the author has supported it for years with over 10 versions and dozens of iterations, you have people telling you that it works for them, and tons of user-submitted images. Yet your contention is that it flat out "doesn't work"? For this to be true that would mean that everyone is lying, and the commenters and this entire mod page are all an elaborate ruse to fool you. It's a completely insane thing to say.
If it isn't working for you on a clean install with no other mods, it is because you've done something very basic incorrectly. Maybe your mod manager profile is installing the mods in the wrong place, or the mod is installed but not enabled, or a .ini file is not set correctly. There are at least a dozen simple things that you could be doing wrong. Have some humility, if you're capable, and figure it out instead of blaming a mod that clearly works fine for everyone else.
Alternatively, you could manually download the files, extract them with 7zip, then drag the folders into your game's folder. They should be just meshes and textures
Is there is a reason you dont read description? ParallaxGen: Patches your load order for any texture mods you have regardless of shader type (parallax / CM / PBR) ParallaxGen does NOT add parallax stuff
Firstly, this is not in the description of this mod, but in the description of PGPatcher, which I have read. It also states that "[...], the way PG identifies textures is not fool-proof." So maybe there is a reason for the meshes to be included. Secondly, this does not answer my question at all. What I want to know is, if the meshes included here are in any way different from the ones created by PGPatcher. It could be that Pfuscher has changed something more about them than just enabling parallax. While unlikely, it is entirely possible. In that case, I would keep them in my loadorder. If they are not different, I would remove them to save space and declutter my loadorder. So instead of finding some issues later I thought that just asking couldn't hurt. Apparently I was wrong, since it seems to have hurt your feelings. Apologies.
Legend has it that Skyrim went from using 8GB of RAM to 20GB, but it looks beautiful with this mod running, hehe. 10 points. It has some flickering in Witherun, but it works like a gem, running at a stable 60fps. Simply EPIC.
I installed parts 1,2, and 3, the update, and the two parallax meshes. It all works and looks great but there is no ground outside of Whiterun near the farms. Not purple ground, but no ground at all - if I walk there, I fall into the abyss and eventually respawn nearby.
Any idea what I'm missing or might have done wrong?
I have ENBseries (just the regular enb from enb website, no presets). I don't have any other texture, mesh, or appearance mods, or anything that modifies the world in any way.
Not this mod friend. These are just meshes and textures.
"I don't have any other texture, mesh, or appearance mods, or anything that modifies the world in any way" Yes you do or you used to. Verify game files or reinstall the game.
Well im not new to modding but this is my first time i wanna try this mod , im wondering about the FPS hit i have a decent PC Rig so i was wondering if somebody could share their perfomance experiences here my setup btw: GPU: RX 7900XTX CPU: Ryzen 7950x3D RAM: 64GB DDR5 SSD: 3TB with about 5000mb/s
F Vortex bro. Use Mo2. Last thing i want to see is that stupid rules setup.
But to help you: Update overwrite main (part x) parallax meshes overwrite main (part x)
oh and about parallax, do some more research about it or it might give you visual issues. If you get texture issues with non parallax install this https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/79473?tab=description

Edit: I see now that the individual files are downloaded via the mod manager, and it doesn't seem like the mod changes enemies, mostly environments and such.
I've been using the mods on here for months without issue so if it's not working for you there's something you're doing wrong,
Make sure when you look at the files you're reading the description and referencing the description in this actual mod

Or don't, I don't care.
probably
Would this setup be enough for these graphics and would/should I do the parallax file also?
This is more a q for comp savvy individuals than the MO
Thanks in advance
