Report any bugs you may find. I will do my best of my ability to resolve any issues you may have, but please READ. The original description is pretty thorough, and if anything this mod is more stable on SE because it shouldn't require the RaceMenu precache killer. Endorse the original mod!
Sometimes I just want to explore new looks for my characters, playing with all the options, but that's it, just play around, and quit without making any changes.
Is this possible to do with this mod?
Also is there any mod out there, where you can create a lot of different looks and load and play with the different looks?
I guess I didn't word my question very well. I meant to ask if you could exit out of the Racemenu with this mod, without having to Save and Name the character, basically, meaning, just Exit the racemenu is all.
Using Enhanced Character Edit with this and it functions great but not for vampire race edits so im wondering if support can be handled there at least for hair change and eyes for version 1.6.1170
With the legendary edition version, every time I used the mirror instead of the racemenu, the characters attacked me. So even if it's on the special edition version, I'm a little worried.
You absolutely could do that, and it would have the same effect. I like this mod for the immersion factor without using console commands. In fact, I think this mod is faster because you can favorite the mirror object and access the limited RaceMenu in two seconds. It's especially useful if you want to quickly apply scars or makeup.
The only disadvantage of this mod over your method is that its limited (no race changing) but... that wouldn't be very immersive now would it ;)
showracemenu will ask you to rename your character and create a different character slot for your saves. This mod (and also the similar mod with the book) will not. I think it's a lot better if you don't want to change your race/gender.
It's a very cool mod, thank you very much, but when I use it in Skyrim VR and my character looks like she's ready to box and she's looking DOWN! I can't see her face lol so I can't edit it. Any help appreciated :)
After 3 years of using 'showracemenu' and having to deal with making new saves, I truly wish I found this mod sooner. Works great, definitely keeping this mod!
It's almost the same! This mod is only for those who dislike the immersion-breaking feeling of using the console to change their appearance or want to avoid dropping 1,000g to use the face sculptor.
The only difference is this mod executes a similar command, ShowLimitedRaceMenu, which prevents your saves from becoming a disorganized mess. It does the same as this mod, with added immersion :) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/21879
I'm interested in what you mean by "prevents your saves from becoming a disorganized mess." I've never had a problem with my saves in four years of playing FO4 and SSE. I use showracemenu and slm player in my saves and AFAIK, my saves are ... my saves. Hehe, please enlighten me!
Everytime you open the racemenu, you have to basically start a new character. It doesn't continue from previous saves. So you might have 6 versions of the same character if you use it 6 times in a single play thru.
But I am getting a weird blurring around the outside of the character build screen, which I don't get with Racemenu. It can make hair and face adjustments difficult to apply.
Has anyone experienced this? I'm guessing I have a mod conflict, but I'm not sure where from. Nothing obvious is coming to mind other than I use a 21:9 screen and have mods to adjust it.
I know ur not the mod author, but is there a chance to get a version of this as a "misc" item istead of an "armor" loving the mod immersion of not having to use the console to change hair or warpairs but being on "armor" its a bit odd

Another thing i'd love to see this do is incorporate a pose menu or allow you to access different poses in say, the Poser Hotkey Mod.
It's just a more immersive way of doing it imo.
