Left Pic = The Original Night Eye Effect, that is what your Night Eye will look like with this Fix installed. Center Pic = That is the Broken Night Eye in the the Update.ESM, this is what it looks like in most people's games. Right Pic = That is with no Night Eye active, it will give you a sense of how much brighter the fixed Night Eye is and yes my game is dark.
Why are you trying to clean a mod that only has 3 records?
They are being removed because your are removing identical to master records and they are intended to be identical, do not put this mod through a cleaner or you will remove those edits thus breaking this fix, this mods takes the 3 NightEyeEffects from the Skyrim.ESM and overwrites the changes from the Update.ESM as the changes in the Update.ESM are Broken.
Wow, some people are obsessed with cleaning mods huh? you realize most mods like this one do not need cleaning and in fact should not be cleaned for this very reason? it can break the mod. I wonder how many mods you broke by cleaning them lol
A mod reverting changes from Update.esm should obviously have Update.esm as a master. Not including it is a bad practice. After adding the proper masters no records were removed during cleaning.
Of all the Night Eye mods on Nexus, this is the purest and best in form. If you want silly predator vision or likewise, you have other options. If you simply want Night Eye to work as advertised, this is the mod you want.
All it does is remove the changes from the Skyrim patches and put Night Eye back to the original values. Why Bethesda changed it is beyond me because the current SkyrimSE effect is indeed useless. As others have said, don't clean this... it's overwriting the Update.esm with the exact values from Skyrim.esm, and cleaners will think this is wonky since there's absolutely nothing "custom" in this mod.
Hi, thanks for the mod. I'm on XB1, but as Bethesda.net closed all comments there, I'm posting here for posterity.
I can't get this mod to work. Perhaps it's my load order, but I've put it directly under "Moonlight Tales SE" mod (as I want to use night vision in werewolf form) but your mod didn't work.
I'm using "NAT", if that's of any relevance ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12842 ) ?
Thanks for this. I use a mod that automatically applies Night Eye when transforming into a Werewolf and i noticed that I was having trouble seeing enemies in the dark, despite night eye being active. Looked around for a bit to find a mod to fix that and settled on this one. Works like a charm and I can actually see who's face I'm clawing off now.
Hi there! I love this mod. I always felt like Night Eye was never bright enough. I do have one request though, if I may make one -- I use a mod to remove camera filters because all of the blur effects in the game make me real dizzy. I can't let that overwrite your mod though, obvs, 'cause then Night Eye isn't as bright. Is it possible to make a version of this mod without the radial blur effects, or would that break the brightness as well? No big deal if not, 'twas just wondering. Cheers.
Thank you tx12001 I had a mod with this fix based on your post from a few months ago, glad to see you releasing it as a standalone mod. Thank you very much.
If you mean the Path of Transcendence then the Fix should work for the Undying Sight lesser power, it uses the vanilla IMOD which will be overwriten by this fix.
