    Regarding VR Support:

    No, this mod will not work with Skyrim VR. I have no plans to purchase VR gear or the VR copy of the game. I am aware of a console "fix" for the issue but I can assure you that it will break things. There are extensive changes made in VR to the chargen quest that would require access to the updated plugins and script files. The expense of buying all of this simply isn't worth it since I'd never actually play it in VR. Call me a dinosaur or whatever, but I have zero interest in VR in its current state.

    Bethesda has also made it crystal clear that VR does not support mods. The code was forked from an old SSE branch that doesn't even have the latest changes incorporated into it so there's absolutely no way any mod author can say for certain that their mods will work in VR at all. As a result, no support will be offered to anyone attempting to use this mod on the VR version of the game. Any further posts on the matter WILL be deleted as this is simply NOT the place to discuss it.

    The console workaround that is being thrown around is not a solution. Your game WILL break if you follow that advice. You may not realize it right away, but it will, and that's not limited to just this mod. ANY alt-start mod will have the same issue.

    People, this isn't your personal sounding board to b&@*$ about the anti-console command system and whine about how you should be allowed to break your game and blame the mod authors for it because console commands are normal or some other horseshit like that.

    They are NOT normal, and you should NEVER have a legitimate reason to assume you know better than the mod's author whether some pile of rocks is supposed to be there or not. The scripting for that was not added for my health. It was added so you don't completely and utterly fubar your game by second guessing a mod's content and assuming you know everything.

    Any further posts on this subject will be summarily deleted with no response and any repeat offenders who think they have the right to yell at me about this will be blocked from all of my content.

    This mod has updates, but due to ongoing Nexus policy decisions, no further updates to this mod will be uploaded here.

    You will need to obtain the updates from one of the listed mirror sites. Especially if you're running into problems trying to use the mod with the Skyrim 1.6 updates.

    A word about LAL "not working":

    Bethesda borked the Steamworks integration in the 1130 update. This integration is responsible for a number of things, like achievements. Some things which the SSE Engine Fixes mod addresses.

    To fix this, update SSE Engine Fixes to the 6.2 version on their page for SSE 1.6.1170. Do not take bad advice to downgrade your game. That way lies madness. And dragons.

    In the event this somehow isn't the reason, make sure you aren't using outdated versions of any of the following:

    Hi,

    I'm running into an issue where the dialogue to give a health potion to Ralof or Hadvar doesn't appear at all, even if I have a potion in my inventory.

    Any clues as to why that might be happening?

    Hi. Im seeing a strange bug: the statue of mara doesnt appear in the dungeon. I previously used mara statue replacer, and mods that remove mara greeting and add some voices, but I have removed them and still the statue doesnt appear.

    I also tried to use refid to move the statue to me, but it doesnt work. Can you help?

      My Mara statue is also gone.

      one of your mods are conflicting with ASL, you have to figure out which mod is making it bug, usually it is a quest mod or anything that alters an exterior that isn't patched

    Going through the caverns under Helgen during Live Another Life triggers the console command warning for Requiem which forces me back outside of the keep and softlocks me out of progressing the MSQ and access to Whiterun. Any idea why might be happening?

      You're bypassing the collapsed bridge. Go back around to the back entrance of the cave and enter from there. This will advance things properly and then remove the safeguard you're running into.

    Looks like the latest USSEP updates the same navmesh record that this does for the abandoned prison. Does this mod's record already contain those fixes?

      Yes, it's built over the top of the USSEP navmesh.

    Hey guys, I'm really sorry if this is a dumb question or not the right place to ask it, but
    I'm running into a weird bug right at the start of the game, in the abandoned prison cell. Once I name the character, all these mf ghosts and minions appear out of nowhere and start fighting something. Usually, I get killed.
    Latest game version, latest USEEP,  latest LAL, engine fixes, papyrus - all of them. Everything updated.
    It's obviously another mod. Are there any hard incompatibilities? Has anyone encounter such madness in the prison cell?
    Again, thanks for taking the time to read this. I'm aware how nooby it sounds, but it's been 5 hours and I'm frustrated.
    I guess I'm gonna go ahead and disable the newly installed mods one by one to find the stinker.

    EDIT: found it, it was SPID for some reason.

    EDIT2: wasn't really SPID, but a custom _DISTR.ini my stupid ass made with the xEdit distributor script for Apocalypse and Odin.

    Ok not sure if i did something wrong, but every time i start a new game, i go through the intro as if i installed no mods. Alternate Start - live Another Life is fairly down in the LOOT order of things, yet i still go through the main intro... anyone know how to fix this?

      if its the same as what happened to me, and you have engine fixes on disable the option to disable atchivements, for some reason this on turns all my plugins off so no alternate start etc. 

      if not this then i cant help sorry

    Hi! I'm trying to diagnose a problem with one of my CC quests not starting (no courier for Let Sleeping Wolves Lie). I was looking at the CC expansion and there's a script that has the quest Unbound as a property, if I'm not mistaken.

    If Alt start affects Unbound, would it affect how couriers are spawned if Unbound is required to be complete in order to appear? Would the CC check for a condition that was met in vanilla that may have been skipped in this mod?

    Forgive me if this doesn't make sense. But any help would be appreciated!

      It would depend on what specific condition that quest is looking for. If it's been set properly, the chargen detection should be working once the chargen quest has reached at least stage 250, which LAL sets up before you've even left the prison.

      If it's waiting for Unbound to be entirely completed then you'd need to go to Helgen to trigger that, but this isn't how the normal CC conditioning is supposed to be set up.

    I dont know if this is a bug with your mod or skyrim itself but i use mod organizer 2 and i disabled every single mod but alternate start, the unofficial patch and skse for GOG. But whenever i start a new game in markarth with a property and then save my game and restart i travel by carriage to whiterun and the outside of the city is low res and glitched? Do you know if you have experienced this before and if there is a fix?

      If it's the same bug I'm thinking of, that's an engine issue with the game itself that often causes Whiterun and occasionally other locations to load without unloading the LOD. It's "fixable" by exiting to desktop and reloading.

      This same bug has been with the game since Oblivion so it's nothing new and Bethesda has never managed to fix it.

    I was about to complain about the mod, but then I had a very interesting idea and used my brain. After using my brain I realized I'm supposed to enable plugins whatever you do, do not be stupid like me. ;-;

      Plugins suddenly disabled - you probably need to update Engine Fixes or some other outdated SKSE plugin.
