it would for sure be more logical, but my goal was to make a compatible mod with no landscape edits. unfortunately at that place there isn't enough flat surface to put a smelter on, and therefore in mods with that smelter location either the landscape is edited, or the smelter/the coal pile is partially floating, or some ugly wooden construction is placed
Has anyone tried the Falkreath smelter with CotN? As I recall, the smith is roughly in the same location, so I wonder whether it might be compatible out of the box?
I installed it and it's not really clipping/blocking anything as far as I can tell, though it does move the tanning racks. If I remember to later I'll add a screenshot.
Really useful mod! Just one small thing - when you activate the smelter in Falkreath, the animation for smeltering is from the right side of the smelter, so the character is trying to put (non-existent, but that's ok) coal into the smelter without any chance to be successful.
Could you rotate the smelter 90 degrees counter-clockwise, so the hole in the shelter aims towards the shovel in animation? It's not a big deal, it's just a thing I noticed while playing, but would be cool if changed.
you have some strange issue. the smelter, the coal pile and the animation are all a single object technically and therefore can only be rotated at once
Hey there, wasn't even aware this mod was also yours, came across it after finally deciding to do a vanilla towns playthrough. A must alongside the Riften-Solitude one.
There's a small issue with it though: in the worldspace records, this mod seems to have some leftovers from the Russian version of the game, causing any save file made outdoors to be named in Cyrillic Скайрим instead of Skyrim, if this file's Worldspace record wins in the load order (or is used by a user-generated patch)
99% of the users won't notice it unless this mod is REALLY low on their load order, since several mods overwrite Skyrim's worldspace, but Smashed Patch users will have their worldspace renamed to Скайрим. This is easily solved through xEdit by dragging any record in English into the Smashed Patch, but less savvy players might scratch their heads at it.

EDIT: Here's a screenshot of what it looks like
Thanks!

I am using the two optional files and SSEEdit is recommending me to clean them. Is it safe to do it?
there is nothing to clean

Thus far I'm not seeing where the Riverwood smelter is.
edited to add: you're right. I don't know riverwood that well. I've been away from the game for over a year.
