    Kinda weird inconsequential issue, I had this version of the mod running just fine. I decided to change my LO, but reinstalled the same Base scripts as I had before, and only changed the UI. Getting an the error about scripts being overwritten on each new game but... the mod appears to work perfectly - I can pick my start, go to race menu and then go to the place I chose. It's also overwriting everything else in both MO2 panels which makes it even weirder. I checked the compatability in the FAQ but I can't figure out what is actually causing this.

    No complaints here because it seems to be working just fine besides getting the pop-up, so if you get the error, try to run it anyway, worst case it crashes and best case it just works

      the game start working is not a sign that nothing is overwritten. the game start and quests are controlled by different scripts. i could help you more if you attached a screenshot of that message or written what scripts and records it lists as overwritten

      Edit:  Sorry, false alarm. I accidentally ESL'd the plugin. I redownlaoded it and it works fine now, so guessing that was the issue. Thank you for your hard work and for responding quickly :)

      are the scripts its saying are overwritten. Weirdly I haven't added anything new that edits any .pex files (afaik), which is why its so odd that it was working and now isn't.

    Can anyone briefly explain to me how to add a modded player home as a starting location? I am comfortable editing/recompiling scripts and working with CK/xEdit.

      I just wanted to say that was extremely quick and easy to do. And the mod will tell you if you if you made any mistakes in your JSON (it'll literally tell you the line and what you did wrong), which is awesome. Thanks for making this mod so customizable and so easy to use. I had no idea it was so powerful. Now I can customize the perfect start for every playthrough.

    I've been using this mod for a few years and have recently felt compelled to leave a comment. I have played as a dragonborn on my first playthrough of this game and while I enjoyed it, I haven't desired to play one again. That basically makes this mod a requirement for me. It's always worked nicely and I love what the mod does. Thank you as well as chinagreenelvis for making it. It's one of the reasons I continue to enjoy this game years later.

    I definitely remember i not have english voice otherwise I wouldn't play... Played in winter 2022-23. It's a pity that the mod has changed.
    Well, there is a good point. I saved traffic for returning to Skyrim because it's one of two mods without which there is no point in playing. And this mod made me think about the harm of games updates and mods...
    Yes, it's blasphemous to write this on the nexusmods...

      Действительно была русская озвучка. Но с тех пор количество нарезанных диалогов в моде (в которых определенные слова аккуратно вырезаны из аудиофайла) увеличилось в разы, если не на порядок. Главным образом, для опции "Местный житель" и для аддона с орочьими крепостями (добавлены альтернативные версии диалогов, в которых к игроку не обращаются как к путешественнику/чужаку в его "родном" городе/поселении). Проделывать это аккуратно, чтобы не было слышно - довольно кропотливая работа, с некоторыми диалогами приходиться повозиться. Нет особого желания проделывать тот же объем работы еще и для русской озвучки, поэтому отказался от нее. Все равно русскоязычная аудитория небольшая, да и других модов с русской озвучкой наверное всего несколько наберется, в основном переводят только текст. Поэтому, если хочешь играть с большим количеством модов на русском, оптимальный выбор - это английская озвучка и русские субтитры

      Понимаю, да я без претензий, просто я брюзжащий человечек.
      Со структурой звуков мне не доводилось сталкиваться, но как я теперь понимаю в некоторых местах(то есть диалогах) будет английская речь, если поставить всё равно на русскую озвучку? Так-то лично мне норм, просто вообще полностью переходить не хочется на английскую. У меня болезненная привычка сидеть в играх либо на русской/азиатской(японской, китайской)/французской озвучках, да и модов, судя по оставшемуся списку, трогающих озвучку нет.
      В любом случае спасибо за мод. Мне уже захотелось всё-таки посмотреть самостоятельно.

    Great mod, been using it for years.

    A (borderline inconsequential) issue I've been having is that my characters would sometimes be able to level up immediately after creation, despite not earning any skill exp. I did some testing and it seems that it only happens when I create a character without switching from the initial (nord) preset. It doesn't happen with any other race, and if I change to any other race and then back again while still in the race menu (e.g. nord>breton>nord) the issue is gone and I start at level one with no option to level up.

    I know I have encountered this little issue in the past, across multiple skyrim installations and mod setups, but I don't know for sure if it's caused by the mod itself or by conflicting mods. Just figured I'd write it up in case anyone runs into the same issue.

      thanks. your comment would be more useful if you tested it on a vanilla profile to identify if it's caused by your other mods or not, and if so, tracked it down to a specific mod

      Hello again,

      That's fair. I was able to rule out the mod itself as being the issue by trying it on a fresh installation with nothing but Unbound and its requirements. It does also appear to be solved after I fiddled with the installation priority in MO2, but there were no apparent signs of anything from unbound being overwritten or modified in the first place, so I can't really say much with my limited technical knowledge. Given the fringe nature of the issue I'm content chalking it up to an apparent case of "problem exists between chair and keyboard" :)

      Idk i can't reproduce your issue. How did you change the installation priority if Unbound was the only mod, or it like helped on the full profile but a vanilla profile still has the issue? When does the level go up - right after you close the character creation menu or after you're teleported to the starting location (you can differentiate if you choose Stay Here)? And which version of the game are you on?

    The mod is great but I cannot finish the main quest. Delphine does not have an option for the attic room. Console commands do not help. Did anyone encouter the same problem?

      I have this exact same issue and I think I've solved it. Go into the inn, then

      setstage MQ106 30
      then leave the inn and go back inside. Delphine should now be in the secret room; you'll need to `unlock` the wardrobe to get to her.

      But she won't talk; she'll just repeat "Not here, follow me" even when she's leaning on the table. So to get her going, do the following three commands (you'll need to select her for the second two to work)

      setstage MQ106 50
      disable
      enable

      With this, she'll be in her leather armor and telling you to get to Kynesgrove.

      Thanks @PrinceofNothing, I started the new playthrough, I think the problem is that the way of the voice quest started before retrieve the dragon stone quest and it bugged main quest progress. Anyway, my bad, I turned on the dragon spawning at level 1 and it spawned immediately

    do you know if anybodys patched the quick start menu for any UI overhaul mods? i found that the ui elements came from SkyUILib but I can't find any patches for edge UI. any advice on how to do it myself? or even disable the menu entirely.

    PSA: do not set "Raven Rock" as your starting location. it seems to be more script heavy than a lot of other start locations, possibly because on top of adjusting main and early quests it also adjusts the cutscene to arrive via boat on top of all the startgame scripts firing off all at once.

    Raven Rock is entirely visitable after starting the game and I did full Dragonborn quest without the faintest issue despite this small issue, but in general- there's a risk your game will freeze/CTD upon creating the first autosave immediately after character creation if your game is loaded with other mods. Doesn't always happen- but it happened enough frequently for me to pinpoint the issue.

      It runs the same scripts as when you first visit Solstheim normally, so yeah it's more "script heavy", but if you have CTDs then you got some issue with your modlist. if only autosaves are the problem, you can disable them in SUR's global settings

    Im stuck with the becoming THANE of Whiterun quest.
    I finished the Bleak Falls Barrow  quest
    and I already helped 5 people
    it says Return to Jarl Balgruuf but when I return the quest is stuck. 
    he says Im now the THANE and assigns Lydia BUT the quest doesnt finished and LYDIA doesnt appear.

    Is what ive been using. And while my skills are at 1 when i start the game,
    after the "real start", (after char creation) they are at 15+race.

      no. maybe you have a conflicting mod that overrides the game setting value from that mod that gets applied after you create your character in the character creation menu
