Version 1.2 uploaded. Added corrected meshes for DSR compatibility by vpulse08. Also, my big thanks to Amado1995 for pointing out the problem with the missing meshes.
Saber is the name given to the Turkish sword by the Europeans. Sabres real name is Kılıç or European name Kilij. The right to name belongs to those who designed it first. That's why it's Kılıç, not Saber. This Kılıç is the curved sword designed by the Turks 2000 years ago. It is thought to have been introduced to Europe for the first time by the Hun Turks(Todays Hungarians). Persians calls the 'Kılıç' Shamsir or Schimitar. Kılıç in Turkish has the same meaning as Sword in English. Shamsir means the same in Persian as Sword in English. These swords are not a style of sword that is the original cultural heritage of Poles or Industrial Age Europeans. Nor is it the kind of sword the Indians claim to be theirs. (According to them, they already started civilization, they created everything, etc.)
By the way, this is an early period Persian design style Kılıç, Ottoman Kılıçs are much more charismatic than that. Search the Internet as Ottoman Pala or Kılıç.
I love this mod, it looks great. Scimitars are a good weapon in general, light weight and higher base damage then steel longsword. Now I can actually tolerate using them throughout the game. The default scimitar was too horrible to use for long.
Actually, I'm pretty sure that this is a shamshir (potentially crossed with a tulwar) and not a sabre...
Varying reports on the curve difference between a shamshir and scimitar, but this seems to be long enough with enough of a curve to classify (if not a shamshir then definitely a tulwar), not to mention the iconic shamshir guard and a handle that I have seen used on shamshirs commonly.

Finally a scimitar that looks like a decent weapon, and not like a mutated machete

Kudo to this replacer, it's close to cavalry sabers (scimitar ancestor) and less typical non sensical RPG fantasy. Thanks !
I concur.
I always thought design of the Scimitars was a bit too broad, But I wanted to use them regardless.
Excellent work!
