The icicles on the ground (icehazard02.nif) glow as a pure white spot! They are overexposed!
https://imgur.com/a/0NGcow7
At night it is more or less bearable, but still bright, especially in clusters of icicles. And on a sunny day even one icicle is hidden by a pure white spot under the sunlight. The icicles become less bright with dark lighting presets (Rustic Weathers and Lighting PRESETS), but in any case they are overexposed.
How to fix this?
I do not use ENB.

Just chipping in here with a little bit of clarity on the issue mentioned here. Even if you load DSI after Arctic, the issue persists because some of the assets of DSI are packed in a bsa so it gets overwritten anyway regardless of the load/overwrite order. The solution would be to either unpack the DSI bsa and then let it overwrite Arctic assets or use the mod DSI Cleaned and Upscaled textures because that mod comes with loose files. Hope it helps to whoever it may concern.
Let's see if I got this right - I think it's the same as your order. So I installed DSI, then installed Arctic, then installed DSI Cleaned & Upscaled.
My plugins section looks like this DeadlySpellImpacts.esp (original mod) Frost Meshes Patch.esp (This mod) DeadlySpellImpacts - two fire.esp (original mod) and then installed DSI Cleaned and Upscaled last so it overwrites
promitroy Or simply hide or delete decalfrostimpact01.dds from this mod. It will stop overwritting the one from DSI and it will look fantastic afterwards. No need to complicate it.
31 January 2023, 5:46AMOk. I figured it out. Generally for DSI to work you need this version (was mentioned here in the comment section earlier, thanks) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/74526 And install above AFTER you installed arctic (and ofc load after arctic) because otherwise for some reason it will still show vanilla impact textures.
If you dont have frost spikes like I mentioned earlier you need to add custom rule for plugins in Vortex - frost meshes patch.esp (from arctic mod) needs to load after deadlyspellimpacts.esp (or deadlyspellimpacts transparency fix.esp, if you use this mod also).
Did you ever find a fix for this? I am using E.V.C with ENB lights and have the exact same problem. Fire spells look fine but frost spells in hand are so bright at nighttime.
Heyo, amazing mod ! :) Wanted to post a little-tiny issue. Nothing biggie. It seems like you didn't export the cubemap correctly. Noticed it while doing my mod in nifskope. If you want I can DM you the properly exported cubemap so that you could upload the quick fix on the mod.
I know this is pretty old, but today I just noticed this by trying to add particle light to an irrelevant mod's item which happens to utilise glacier_e.dds. Nifskope pops the size not being a power of 2, despite it looks so. Sadly I couldn't manage to fix it on my own, and had to completely delete the cubemap.

#1: you're completely wrong, frost VFX edit only replaces meshes
#2: this also includes both meshes and textures. So it is not outdated.
