We have had a number of posts about users experiencing Infinite Loading Screens (ILS) or crashes at the start of their game. The Legacy Official Patches work just fine with either version of Skyrim Special Edition, 1.5.x or 1.6.x. There are several reasons for why crashing and/or ILS at the main screen can occur but these patches are not one of them.
The most common things that can lead to beginning of game crashes/ILS are:
A mismatch between your versions of Skyrim and SKSE /Address Library
SKSE-dependent plugins that are mismatched with your version of SKSE /Address Library.
Mod and patch version mismatches.
Having newer CC content and trying to run it with the older versions of the CC patches. Remember the Legacy CC patches have never been part of these official patches and are posted on a different page!
Running patches/mods that are missing their master files.
Corrupt file downloads.
Note: take the time to confirm your versions of all those things, rather than assume you are on a certain version.
I'm having an issue where the ground in solitude after castle dour isn't appearing and everything just falls through the map. I've installed all the proper patches. i use Jk's skyrim and dawn of skyrim and also have the proper pacthed for it aswell
That is an issue with occlusion planes. Check your load order for mods that may change those. The one that first comes to mind for me is "Project Optimization".
Hello! I have an issue. I put the Arch-mage's robes in the Deepholm Armory chest, but it's not appearing on the display. I'm posting this here because I think it may have something to do with Zim's immersive artifacts replacing the original, but that's just a theory.
Also when I searched for the arch-mage's robes in the console I found two different versions, but when I added the second version into my inventory, it was immediately replaced with the other version. I don't know if that's related.
As always the mod is amazing, though as I've updated to V6 the Moon and Star patch is being a bit difficult as legitimately everything works except the reward item replacer part of it, even down to the dialogue it changes to asking for a staff instead of a bow but still gives the unpatched (and undisplay-able) items, any Ideas on what could cause this?
there should be nothing affecting it, the only two things I can think of that has any interaction with MAS patch wise is a fix for the terrain for the Arkay temple added by undeath and that I had the immersion patch for MAS but removed it after realizing It was no longer needed/compatible with LOTD, it's just irksome because literally everything from the dig sites to the display to the items you can display are obtainable, I am also unsure if any of my fixes are able to work in an already saved game or if I need to start a fresh character for them to function properly, I'm guessing this may evolve from an in MO2 situation to a requiring xedit one?
Love what you do! I have PrivateEye's heavy armory mod and the LOTD Heavy armory patch installed. Most of the new ones are showing up, but I can't find one for the lunar iron shortsword. Thank you.
Just to clear up any confusion, there are two versions of the Dev Aveza: the standalone separate mod (which Kriana referred to as the full version) and a built-in version in Legacy. The standalone version is what is currently not working or supported, but you don't need to install it to have the airship. The built-in version still works fine, but you won't be able to do free flight. As to when the standalone version will be coming back, that depends entirely on when the two authors can get together and look at it. Both have plenty on their respective plates right now, so it could be quite a while.
I have Drengin's Blue Palace + LOTD + DBM_BluePalaceTerrace_Patch, yet I get a brickwall behind the LOTD initial gate and some random architecture blocking the stairs from Blue Palace. Removing Drengin's mod seems to fix it. Not sure what is wrong.
USSEP loading after Legacy is usually what causes that wall behind the gate, but that doesn't appear to be the issue if you have other issues. Do you have any other mods/patches that affect that area of Solitude? You might go to the ICA Discord, link is in the top sticky on the main mod page, and open an issue in the support channels.
Hey there, this patch has come in super handy. However, my issue is that I am now on the explorers guild questline to build it first and the crafting bench at that location is missing. I am using Open Cities and JK's Skyrim amongst many other mods; however, I believe those two are the more prevalent ones that are within Solitude. How would I fix this issue?
I believe this is an issue with the base mod, although I understand why you came here! I think there's an entry in the FAQ for it. If not, hit me up on Discord and I'll take another look at where I saw it.
Were you checking FAQ on the main mod page - as Kriana was indicating - rather than the Patches FAQ? You should find an entry for "The workbench to build the guildhouse is invisible/missing".
I'd also suggest that you carefully read the Full Guide, particularly the section on installation instructions (and the embedded links in that section). The reason I say that is Open Cities is on the unsupported list, so if you didn't know that, don't know what else you might have missed.

Not sure what is causing my issue. I am getting errors in the Lost Legends quest. I am using navigator , wraith guard vault fixer, , sightless navfix, LotDB, LotDB patch and DBM cc sunderwraithguard patch v4. In that load order.
The pedestal to place the attument cube is floating and there is an elevator not a door behind it (as in walk through). In the walk though there is a room with steam release valves after the cube’s pedestal, in my game I have no such room. after I use the elevator to go down, when I arrive the opening in the snow cavern is gone, if I TCL through the wall I can proceed but the layout is different than the walk through I watch trying to figure out my issue. My last objective is enter the sightless pit and the journal has it completed but I canot enter the sightless pit, it says key is needed I don’t know if I am missing a key or something else is wrong but it seems the quest is not progressing and I have no clue what to do from there. Because of the wall and floating pedestal I fell I have a conflict. Any help would be great. Also I searched the Legacy of the Dragonborn Full Guide (required reading) and Frequently Asked Questions and I did not find any relevant info.
Thank you for the reply, and your insight in past matters. I just wanted to ask in case I was doing something wrong that is simple. Just for full disclosure in hopes an answer is eventually found (I am still trying to fix it). The only mods I have that touch that area are the ones listed and the wall blocking the hallway is from LotDB according to the console and DBM Sunder patch v4 is the only other thing winning any conflicts that I can see in the Cell records. So I know it not some random mod causing it, maybe incorrect load order, not sure tho. When I removed wraith guard vault fixer and DBM cc sunderwraithguard patch v4 the hallway was restored but the quest was then broke, so I am forced to keep them, if I can fix the wall issue I assume that is for the better. Well if I do find a fix I will post it in case anyone has the same issue and if you ever hear of a similar issue please ping me, I want to have this mod list working perfectly! for future playthroughs, after years of playing Beth games just now starting to harnness the power of the CK. Thanks again.
