Unhiding this mod due to requests. However, I delved into the mod, and a FOMOD version is really not possible because of how the mod works so if you want a "modular version", I'm afraid you will have to use SSEEdit to remove the armors you don't want. I don't really have a lot of time to devote to this mod anymore as it's been more work than fun. Community made patches and fixes are welcome but I will no longer be working on this mod. I could post an article about how to use SSEEdit to remove the armors you don't like if requested enough, but for now I am currently working on another project. Thank you!
Since JDJ3 never got around to it, I'll post the tutorial since I just figured out how to do it myself This tutorial is for Mod Organizer 2 since it's what I use, should work basically the same if you don't use it though, you just won't be running it through MO
In MO click the dropdown menu left of Run that should be set to SKSE or Skyrim Special Edition, or Skyrim Special Edition Launcher Click <Edit...> In the top left, next to Executables, click the plus, this will create a new executable Title it SSEEdit, then click the ... next to Binary and direct it to your SSEEdit.exe Apply, then click the dropdown menu again and you should see SSEEdit there Select it then hit Run In the module selection screen deselect every module it'll let you, except DIS_Replacer.esp then hit OK To your left should be:
Click the + next to DIS_Replacer Now open Armor, Armor Addon or weapon, depending on what you want to remove Say you want to remove the mod's ebony armour, you would go into Armor and Armor Addon and right click on anything with Ebony in the name and select remove Once all records of the item you want to get rid of are removed, click the three horizontal lines in the top left and hit save
wait , if i wanted to remove all the weapons from this mod , should i right click on weapons and click remove or should i go to every weapon and remove it
please could you make a mod just to remplace the steel horned helmet with your version , cause your version looks like the one of the live trailer of skyrim vr and i really like that.
The fur armors in this mod are unique to the other NordWar replacers. Too bad it wasn't made as a separate standalone fur replacer, so it could be used with other NordWar realistic armor replacers.
If anyone is still having trouble with removing weapons, what you need to do is remove everything from the following categories in Xedit: Weapon, static, projectile and projectileaddon.
Hey i wanted exactly to remove the ebony armor and replace it with another one, everything worked except for the chestplate which now is just invisible, i can see it on the ground and i can see the icon but when i wear it its invisible, can you help?
FOR VORTEX USERS. if you cant see the steel or iron chestplates here is how to fix it! 1- first after downloading go to plugins (its right below mods) 2- find DIS_Replacer 3- click on it twice and select it as Late Loaders 4- that should be it, it fixed for me i thought i should share.
I can't seem to get this mod to work properly. I have labeled it as late loader and attempted to use xedit to get the proper armors to show. The model loads properly in my menu but will not show on my character. Any help would be fantastic.
For anyone having trouble finding "late loaders", after you double click on DIS_replacer, its in the dropdown menu under "groups" about mid-way down. There's a bunch of options in that drop down menu, you have to scroll a little.
Hello there seems to be a conflict between community shaders and the steel armor from NordwarUA replacers edition sse the boots and paldrons are Burntish/dirty and really glossy any assistance would be wonderful
Thanks for the mod. Made it compatible with MLU, ISC, and Simply Faster Arrows by just forwarding the necessary records to the esps in my load order. For those who are having issues with certain armor parts showing up it's because a mod in your load order is loaded after this mod with a different (more than likely vanilla) file path.
Edit: To save you guys time I could see about making patches for ISC and MLU and send them to JD to look over it and add it to the files (assuming there aren't patches I've missed).
Edit 2: Ok made a collection of patches based on how loot ordered my esps (meaning even if I could have moved them I did not and just made a patch and loaded that after everything. Will send them to JDJ3 in a pm to check and make sure they are worth sharing. They can do whatever they want with them. Patches are all esps flagged as esl. They include:
Morrowloot Ultimate: Forwarded all the new ebony stuff's model filename fields from this mod and as many of mlu's stuff I noticed like the ebony stuff's new values into the patch's esp.
Simply Faster Arrows (forward new filename while keeping the gravity and speed changes)
Leftover WACCF edits (this one was probably what most would think is not worth having, though if you have any waccf stuff that needs to be forwarded while keeping this mods model file path, you can use this esp to forward those specific changes without changes dis_replacer.esp's place in your plugin order, otherwise don`t really bother downloading unless you want one item renamed) -Carries over this mod's records of the steel greaves and renames the armor back to steel boots as waccf named them. Useful if you have an esp that overwrites the dis_replacer.esp steel boots/greaves record as it will forward this mod's changes to the armor part without having to move this whole mod's esp down just to overwrite one record.
Patch to overwrite Qwinn WAACF BS Heartland Patch from QUASIPC if you're using it (forwards Iron helmet filename from this mod to overwrite this patch's filename)
Made a Original Armor name patch to -make it called scaled again as I didn't really like the "Lamellar" name and I've gotten used to it being called scaled and scaled horn. If you want a different name that's not scaled or lamellar just open the esp up and edit the field to whatever you want the armor pieces to be called. -Also reverts "Reinforced Steel Armor" to Steel Armor with Pauldrons as it was in WACCF. -Carried over the steel gauntlets record just in case people have an esp that changes the name of that. Feel free to remove this record if you want.
Immersive Sounds - Compendium (there are various options when installing this mod in regards to how you want things to sound, just be glad you get sounds from that as I won't cover all of them or you can drag the sound value over (just load the patch and isc and overwrite the value using what's in your Immersive Sounds - Compendium mod. -Forwarded the sounds from isc and the filename fields for various weapons.
If you use MLU and ISC, make sure the ISC patch is loaded last (after the mlu patch, QW_WACCF_ISC Patch, and mlu to make sure ISC sounds play for the weapon while having the stuff from this mod forwarded). Had dis_replacer.esp after isc when making this patch so if you're set on placing this mod before isc, then you might need to mess with more records (loot placed this mod after isc so I went with that order). May have missed some stuff, but it all seems fine in sseedit. Tried not to touch anything I didn't feel that I should touch as the goal is for the right pieces to show up without eliminating various tweaks that other esps do for that record. Just check the patches in sseedit if you have any issues and move them down after whatever esp is overwriting them. Patches are really small and I would just have everything in 1 esp, but I know some people don`t use mlu, isc, etc. Final edit: Tested ingame. All armor pieces seem to be showing up fine on my character. Patches tested and working :) Esp order: https://i.imgur.com/uKpBTTS.png
does anyone have any clue why, half the time i install this and realistic armors into my modlist, it doesn't replace anything? i load up SKSE and see all the armors but they are just not overriding the vanilla skyrim records.
One of the pinned comments states how to fix this I think, saturn was the one to mention it. 1- first after downloading go to plugins (its right below mods) 2- find DIS_Replacer 3- click on it twice and select it as Late Loaders 4- that should be it
Can I use one of the armors in this mod for a follower mod I'm making? Or will I need to ask nordwarua instead? edit: wtf, I only commented once. Why did it happen like 12 times?

In MO click the dropdown menu left of Run that should be set to SKSE or Skyrim Special Edition, or Skyrim Special Edition Launcher

Select it then hit Run
In the module selection screen deselect every module it'll let you, except DIS_Replacer.esp then hit OK
To your left should be:
[00]Skyrim.esm
[00]SkyrimSE.exe
[02]Dawnguard.esm
[03]Dragonborn.esm
[04]DIS_Replacer.esp
Click the + next to DIS_Replacer
Now open Armor, Armor Addon or weapon, depending on what you want to remove
Say you want to remove the mod's ebony armour, you would go into Armor and Armor Addon and right click on anything with Ebony in the name and select remove
Once all records of the item you want to get rid of are removed, click the three horizontal lines in the top left and hit save
I've been spending days now trying to use SSEEdit, and I can't get the changes to apply.
