Do silver weapons get the "can be improved twice as much" buff when taking the steel smithing perk? When tempering the damage is noticeably lower than steel weapons
I used the mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/121705 with this mod and it works together. Ars metallica does not let you temper silver as much as other weapons and adding this mod fixes that.
I am having a problem in the smelter where I am not gaining experience for smithing and I'm not sure why. I recently updated the mod after taking a break from Skyrim. I've tried reinstalling, making sure load order is proper. I have no other mods doing a similar thing. Any help, mates?
I have the exact same problem that now the smelter in the safehouse added by Legacy of the Dragonborn no longer gives XP. Other smelters seem to be working okay, just the LOTD one is broken.
I've been using this mod for a few months now but I just noticed today that using the tanning racks stopped giving smiting experience. I checked my mods and I forgot I installed Diverse Tanning Racks - Base Object Swapper a few days ago and it is preventing the tanning racks from giving smithing experience. Mod author has a few comments already about this issue, do they need permission to patch it?
There a way to HIDE items in the menu that I not have in my inventory? I see smelting recipes for things I do not have, making the list bloated, hence the question
I've always loved this mod, and in case I haven't already, over all these years, I just want to say “thank you.” In setting up my new Skyrim installation, I decided to test out similar mods that have the same concept, because, hey, it's generally fun to try new things. This is the one I'm coming back too, though… it's simple, does exactly what it says on the can, doesn't require a slew of additional mods or patches, and has never caused me any grief. I feel the same way about ASLAL, to be honest… Sure, some variations are fun and all, but this one has always been great, done everything I need, and, again… it's never caused any headaches. I've always found when modding Skyrim, for a smooth experience, it's really best to keep things as simple as you possibly can. As such, I try to avoid installing mods that send me down a seemingly infinite rabbit hole….where one set of requirements lead to another set of requirements…which lead to… you get the picture!
Hey the smelting iron swords is broken, i get 2 iron ingots from smelting them. They also cost 2 iron ingots to make. Also i cannot smelt maces and axes

Some people might benefit from it, no matter how simple it seems to you.
Thanks.
So, cheers! Seriously!
