Hey everyone, If anyone would like to extend the functionality of this mod to isolate favorite items (SSE Script Extender needed) or add additional patches please by all means. My permission is explicitly given. I would love to see others add to this mod. V 1.14 Corrected Exploit discovered by user Zaire82; Small Iron Pots now require two pots to make 1 ingot; Medium Iron Pots require 2 to make 2 ingots and Large Iron pot gives only 2 Ingots. Eastmarch (Windhelm) Guard's Shield has been added for recycling to iron and firewood. Add multiples for Tankards x10 x20 x40 Add missing Gold Sapphire Ring to extract a single Sapphire.
Version 1.13 is now online. I have edited the Gold Ingot to Coins to 75 coins and it will take 110 coins to make a gold ingot. In theory you will loose some of the material when smelting it down and some will be lost during the crafting of the coins.
Added the ability to craft the Wolf Armor from the Companions Guild after you complete the "Proving Honor" quest. It can only be crafted at the Skyforge. Added Silver Arrows - Very good against the undead. Added the breakdown of several sets of clothing to Linen. And added crafting of the Fine clothing and footwear at Tanning Rack.
Removed Perk requirements for ebony, dwarven, glass, Orcish, dragon, elven, Stahlrim and replaced with Advanced Armors perk only. If you are using a Perk changing mod you may need to add this Vanilla Perk manually via the console. There is also a NO PERKS version as well under the optional downloads. Although not immersive, this will allow players to use mods such as Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim.
Added ability to check to see if item is equipped (no favorite). If armor or weapon is equipped then it will not show up to be recycled. If unequipped then it will show up even if tempered or enchanted. This means if your favorite weapon and armor that has been tempered and enchanted and YOU ARE wearing it when you start smelting it shouldn't show up! i.e. If your wearing elven armor full set and have several pieces extra in inventory then those NOT equipped will show to be recycled.
All hold guard armor sets are recyclable. Either at the Smelter or Tanning Rack. Changed the formula for Steel Plate set increased steel ingot. One Iron ingot & one Corundum ingot are used so when melted you would in theory get a steel. Perks needed for Transmutation are Arcane Blacksmith and Daedric Smithing for Organic Smithing
Great idea and works fine for the items the author knew about at the time of creation.
Would really benefit massively from using a dynamic approach where recipes are derived from the items at runtime to allow scrapping of the literal hundreds of new lands and overhaul weapons and armors i got in my game.
Overall great mod and it's been in my load list for a long time, I consider it an essential basic. However, one thing I haven't been able to figure out... what is the purpose of "ingot shaped glass"? Can I make anything with it? What is it for?
Not sure if this is an Ordinator thing, but smelting even junk items like tankards and wooden plates levels Smithing much quicker than I thought it would.
If I wanted to adjust that gain down, where would I need to look in the code?
EDIT: Nevermind. This post on the forums, update #2, was the answer I needed: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5032510-skyrim-recycling/?view=findpost&p=73468813
Is anyone maintaining this mod? I found some vanilla items that don't have recipes or don't have working conditional statements in the recipe. I am only referring to ones that make sense considering the presence of working recipes of a similar type (i.e., some nordic weapons don't have a working recipe, vampire boots has two recipes that show up when you have one in your inventory). I am not complaining about anything. I am just wondering so that I can give a bug report if it is relevant.
