Nice mod! My Dovahkiin is supposed to have no issues with eating people in general, but is not the kind to kill a person just to eat them, and thanks to your mod I can play him the way I want (as in, without spawning in the ring. Or assuming that Namira would be fooled by a fake, as "Namira For The Good Guys" suggests. Or becoming a werewolf which would be even more out of character than just never eating anyone).
Recently I've been getting a notification in Vortex telling me that this mod is redundant... and I can't for the life of me figure out why. I don't think I have any other mods that touch Eola or the quest itself?
Do you have any bashed patch or anything like that? The only thing this mod do is to add a copy of the ring to Eola's list of items; if the record was copied and merged into a patch, automated or not, its content may now be redundant.
I have a single bashed patch that I cannot get rid of from when I was experimenting with Wrye Bash, but it's disabled. It's possible it could be on there, but I highly doubt that's the source. Most likely Vortex just... has an issue with it or something.
Wish there was one where I could take the ring and be a cannibal just without killing brother verulus. Why can't I just be a good guy who eats bad guys lmao
Any chance this is esl flagged ESP-FE? seems like a very small tweak to fill a slot. Love it but Im looking at a VERY heavy load order. Thanks either way
I had just tried it with console commands, but for what I could see you can make a copy of the Skull of Corruption and Mehrunes Razor even if you don't kill Erandur or Silus, but not Namira's ring - I don't know if it's why here you technically "fail" the quest or because you never get to see the ring, or both things actually.
I think they meant that you don't need this mod because you can make a replica anyway. I don't know about current version of LOTD, I played it long ago and the copy wasn't available, hence the mod. :)
You can't make the replica without having the ring. The vanilla game you always get the ring. GOOD ending mods can change that.... Like "Namira for Good Guys" mod where you can trade the ring to the Priest for a unique master level Conjuration spell. That's why I made a patch for Legacy and that mod that checks for a certain quest stage to be complete...and that 's what activates the replica recipe, thus not needing the ring.
I haven't tried to pickpocket her but I killed her at our first encounter (when she calls you a cannibal and may become aggressive depending on your replies) and looted the ring. Dealing with the cult is not mandatory.
To completely eliminate any worry for that, you can remove the ring from her inventory...create a new DeathItemList. Put the ring in the list...and add it to her. She wont be able to have it pickpocketed (it isn't in the inventory) but it is added to her body upon death.

Any role playing issues are your own.
