This is my contribution for April Fool's Day, but don't worry. Skitters is a real, functional animal follower just waiting to be hatched. Like the description says, Skitters will hatch after you keep a chaurus egg in your pocket for a while.

Update 1.1
- Skitters can become a chaurus hunter! Just feed Skitters its favorite food, made at a cooking pot with glowing mushrooms, carrot, and bone meal.
- The quest now attempts to detect if you're already carrying chaurus eggs in case you installed this mod mid-game.

Do NOT attempt to use the COC command with Skitters following you. It will glitch out.
Hey, I'm having some trouble with Skitters, I have AFT, I'm Glad Your Here, and My Home is Your Home, and Skitters is simply refusing to go home. I did set their home to a custom house before trying to send them home, and that makes me worried that I may have accidentally broken Skitters' settings. If anybody has any fixes for this, PLEASE let me know! I don't want to lose Skitters :(
just so to be clear, if i use a mod that makes me able to set a new home for followers (like Nether's follower framework), would Skitter's new home be the one i choose too? instead of Understone's Keep
btw, what about a option that you're able to turn Skitters into that big chaurus reaper that you find when doing the frostflow abyss quest, or just be able to change Skitters name?
Was so excited to finally find something that lets us have a chaurus ally since I feel creature designs are wasted if they are only enemies. But Skitters so far has been... a little lackluster. Haven't tested him out in hunter form but in normal he can't keep up with a player just using the normal run much less sprinting or having any speed boost. Falls behind immensely far very easily and even when around for combat he's got a weird tendency to just stay back maybe attacking at range unless something goes to him. So without LoS he often ends up a bad sentry. Also seems to have different AI from usual Chaurus in that he's got absolutely 0 good pathing skills during combat. Watch him get stuck on anything and everything...
Maybe I'll try hunter form and see if that changes anything since from what im reading there is no way to get him to the grown Reaper state for another power boost.
Hello! I found this mod Stuffed Chaurus and thought it'd be so cute to use alongside yours. I noticed that Skitters is their own race in SSEEdit, but do you think it's possible to somehow use Stuffed Chaurus with this mod so I can have a plush bug friend following me around Skyrim? Thanks!
Cool addition, i rly like you can take a pet now that actually is useful in battle.
However, Skitters glitched for me for no reason, i didn't use coc/any console commands, so he ended up only spitting poison, but stopped attacking enemies at all. Transfering him back to usual chaurus and then back again to hunter resolved the glitch, but i wonder what specifially causes this glitch and whether or not there is an easier workaround?
EDIT: unfortunately had to delete the mod because the glitch just appears every 15-30 min :(
