this is probably the best mod for ebony's skills i have ever seen someone add into the game, i wish Miraak was given the same treatment as this on ebony.
i especially like how ebony can create multiple versions of himself to fight, something bethesda should have done with Miraak's boss fight instead of the way that was handled, like an example would be when he does his not fighting thing you are too busy fighting his clones and then when he leaves you have to fight him and his clones all at once.
Hi, I just tested your mod and the fight, even tough it's still hard it's way more entertaining thanks to the different abilities he now has. Before it was just a smackfest to see who hit harder and who could take more damage, and a couple of shouts. Really good job. But something seemed strange; the enchantments. By no means I'm trying to tell you how to do things, it's just that I think it would be nice to separate all the enchantments from the helmet, I mean: the armor has resistance to magic and damage reflect but you could take the elemental resistance from the helmet and give it to the armor and add the regeneration effects too, plus the heavy armor fortyfing and remove directly the light armor fortigying because it's an ebony armor. And the bow, one handed, two handed damage and pickpocketing could all go with the gauntlets. All the magic related enchantments in the helmet and add waterbreathing, which I'm not sure if it's there. And the boots could also have muffle, if they don't already do. Again, the mod is awesome but I personally see it more immersive that way. You use your hands to atack, be it swords or bows, and pickpocket, you use your head to create spells, and you use your body when you don't have other option to take the damage, at least that's how I've always enchanted my items, but that's me. You could even put all the sneaky thif assasin enchantments in the neckalce, oh, and the invisibility thing only works until you break the invisibility, once it's gone you hape to equip it again, but that's normal given how the invisibility spells work. Aaaand the bow is not there, tried killing him twice to see if it was a one time thing. And truthfully, I almost can't read all the enchantments in the helmet xD If you could make an adjustment to the pieces where the enchantments are that would be amazing, but I'm still keeping the mod, it's a nice add-on even though I don't really see why a warrior has magic related enchantments. Oh, and for some reason the gauntlet effects appear red in my magic aeffects, but that maybe is because I'm a vampire lord, not sure. PS: I'm not asying all this trying to criticize, just thinking that it could aid your mod, nothing else, if it all seemed intrusive or offensive, my apologies.
An unexpected and interesting interaction between this mod and the mod "Sil Gahrot - Improved Shout Learning" is that you could learn Altered Dismay he uses. Personally, I deleted the records via SSEEdit because I don't want that.
Hey question, I'm using this with epic boss armor replacer. Is there anyway for me (I'm guessing thru sseedit) to place the stats and effects for the armor from your mod onto the ones provided by epic boss armors?
Edit: Got it working, just doing tests to make sure hes fully functional before doing my first playthrough.
after defeating him, perhaps find a note with a letter signed to the dragonborn should he defeat the ebony warrior, telling him of a location where he may indulge in some of the ebony warrior's secrets should he desire to hone his skills further for later threats and adventures, And then going forth to find an ethereal ebony warrior to teach you. It would be cool to see his character developed just a bit more before heading off to sovngarde. In a manner that doesn't distract from his possible lore implications he may have which bethesda has not enlightened us to yet. It could be pretty fun, and the custom voice thing would be alot more appreciated coming from a former adversary turned mentor. Rather then just a one and done adversary.
i love all you put within the description. but i wonder if ebony could be the real champion of boethia with the ebony mail. you wanted a story to tell and the man who wears the armor in that quest is nothing compared to the ebony warrior. this is why i think he's fitting to be the champion. forget the stupid crusade the ebony warrior who is a champion of the unknown or untold. he claims he's beat everything there was to fight and yet has no history to speak of. nobody knows who he is, bethesda only wrote him in as a challenger to the dragonborn.
or maybe a story could be written that the man who you killed was not the champion of boethia and was really an poser or decoy to trick boethia, and the ebony mail that was found on him was a fake.
This seems interesting. I'll be keeping an eye on this for sure. How strong are the copies exactly? And are they meant more to be distractions or an actual threat?
They're definitely weaker than the original, though I may need to tweak them. I intend for them to be distractions in general, disguising the real one, but also just dangerous enough to not be taken lightly either.
This mod looks quite promising, especially summoning his own copies seems fantastic. I hope he and his copies can't use Disarm shout, because losing my weapon and trying to find it are annoying.
