Is that really a good alternative for this? The description gave me the impression that it only covered the specific situation of NPCs walking into you while you're in dialogue with someone. Whereas this mod covered allied party members clogging up narrow pathways and preventing you from getting past.
The description for "I'm Walkin' Here" isn't very clear about it but, yes, it does replicate the functionality of this mod. It has four options in a config file in the SKSE\Plugins directory, one of which ("disableDialogueCollision") only takes effect during dialogue, but the other three ("disableAllyCollision," "disableSummonCollision," and "disableAllySummonCollision") affect followers, summoned creatures, and summoned creatures summoned by followers, respectively, all outside of dialogue.
Well, actually it still does work. But the issue of followers crowding you and bumping into you and "pushing" you away sometimes while you're in dialogue with another NPC still happens, as mentioned by alwaysj on May 13 2023 in his comment post thread below.
Works great on SE , only tiny problem is that Followers don't back away anymore , this is a problem when in dialogue with other npc's . Your follower will walk right into you sometimes and just stand there. Not a problem most times, just exit conversation and move a little to the side, but some conversations you can't exit and restart.
Ooooh, that really is caused by this mod then, unfortunately, I wasn't sure if it was caused by this mod or because I recently fiddled with some settings in EFF (which wouldn't actually effect most of my custom voiced followers anyway, I just realized lol). With this mod enabled in my load order, it's actually kindof having the opposite effect of what it's supposed to be doing: followers are crowding around me too closely, "teleporting" right at my character way too often (I really need a mod that makes it so that followers don't "teleport" at me if we're in the same interior cell, unless I use their summon command intentionally).
You should be complaining to trading standards, to get your money back, not here. The author has enough unnecessary flack as a result of numerous updates from bethesda. Roll back your Skyrim and you will find this 'dudes' mod's work flawlessly
Absolutely nauseating that screaming "roll back your game" is considered acceptable.
If a modder doesn't want to maintain a mod anymore, common sense and courtesy would dictate open-sourcing it so someone else can take over. Instead, he does neither, and you people screech with the vapid, self-righteous indignation of cultists who've just heard their self-professed messiah ridiculed if anyone dares suggest it's time for him to either crap or get off the can.
I didn't see anyone screaming, or using capslock, perhaps you're a bit sensitive? The person that made this mod owes no one anything, ZERO. I have played Skyrim for a decade now, literally 1000's of different play thru's THANKS to these fine people that make something and release it publicly. It's people like you that make me thankful I have never released my work publicly. Because what I have done or anyone else that has spent anywhere from 15 to HUNDREDS of man-hours creating something and then releasing FOR FREE to any and all, and then spending a few hundred hours explaining and then re-explaining the SAME installation, SAME mod conflicts, SAME whatever's that no one can ever seem to bother to READ the description. It's beyond me why any of the mod authors don't just lock their comments.... Oh wait, they LEAVE them so that when the next batch of people start having issues, they can ask for help in the comments and get it. Imagine that...
I don't know why this isn't in this mod's bug report but I cant hit Vilkas on Companion's vanilla questline. While training with him I just phase on him and cant hit him with anything
Hmm, I am on pre-AE, I have used this with a very heavy, script-intensive load-out (1200+ mods) at least a dozen times, I constantly nail Vilkis 2-3 hits and its over and Vilkis either says "That's impressive, or not bad, you might just make it..." I never type any TFCL. Sooo yeah 1.57 works flawlessly, I also used either this or something like it back in the day with oldrim. About the only complaint I have is in tight spots followers start stacking on me to get at the mobs and I end up beating the hell out of them, while they scream "I'm on your side" lol its cool though we're all still friends afterwords lmao.
Don't know what all the hate is for, I've used this mod in LE & SE for yrs & it is soooo nice to NEVER get trapped in a room or dead-end cave because of followers or npc's. No longer do you have to pass up something you see for fear of not being able to back out past your followers. THANX, no complaints here.
