Stormcloak quest of whiterun makes this sad as fuck. They are not hostile in my game but the stormcloakes killed them... Perhaps some day there will be an expansion

Great mod and definitely adds to immersion!

Couple of silly requests if anyone feels up to it:
    1) Maybe give them high poly heads so they don't look like potatoes compared to everyone else
    2) patch for either EVG or conditional idles (forget which does it) so they don't walk around with headaches all the time, pretty sure its because they have like 0 magika

This is such a great idea.

This mod has a ton of potential and I REALLY want to add to to my load order but I just can't. Dkdoubledub has done a great job but I just can't add it until something is done about them during the Civil War battle. Simply disabling them doesn't work for me personally and my load order is too big to add a mod that isn't 'just right' for me. I think something along the lines of them joining you no matter your decision or, even better, being forced to kill them if you join the Stormcloaks would be really impactful, though I'm sure that all would be very difficult given all the lines are using vanilla dialogue. Maybe if one of the battle brothers, who would generally speak for the group, had some original voice acting it could help (also make him/her a follower after the battle maybe) I am, however, really thankful the mod author has created something like this and want to thank them for the hard work they've already done thus far.

Yeah, it was a really nice addition, until the Civil War. Everything was so immersive too, 'til those guys started sticking out like a sore thumb! I was afraid I'd have to kill them during the Whiterun Invasion, but the Stormcloak Soldiers just ignored them; wasn't expecting my levels of immersion to break that hard, just goes to show, when you're really into it, you're into it!

Everything just starts to fall apart from there on, to the point I considered I must've missed a patch or something, or if this was some sort of oversight by the Mod Author? I'll likely leave it installed for now, but I made space for this Mode over another and will likely be replacing it on my next run.

so they just stay in whiterun, using the defaut yeallow armor, and the stormcloaks just ignore them? ah man...that is boring, they could travel to another hold after that quest or something...

Yep, mod needs a patch. Same for Kyne's Temple Consequences and the Whiterun soldier.

Found a random bug with this and the Embershard Miners mods on the Xbox,  the NPCs work and sandbox as they should.  However, when entering dialog.  They don't respond to button/dialog prompts and you have to force your way out of the conversation box by reloading a save or quitting to the menu.  I am working to test if it was me with a bad load order.  Will follow back up soon.

Tried many different things, but kept getting the same issue.  This was tested on a Xbox Series X with Skyrim AE.  I am chalking it up to being something related to CC.

Hmm, well unfortunately I can't confirm this since I did not port the mod to Xbox. Could be some sort of porting issue as I have never seen that sort of bug here. Admittedly I haven't tested with AE, but I would highly doubt there's a conflict just based on how the mod is set up.

In any case, you should message whoever ported it and let me know if they get back to you.

I want to give you an idea. It should be simple to do I think... when the civil war quest to invade whiterun appears, a side quest should appear as well "warn your battle brothers" that would allow you to warn them...but they are honorable, they wouldnt let the city without defense, so maybe the character could send them on fake rescue mission (just so you can disable them during the battle with an excuse) and when the battle is over, they could come back without knowing you had anything to do with the battle for whiterun kkkkkkkkkk

    TYVM fpr this.

I loaded it on to an existing game save ( ported Skyrim LE X-box ==> PC SSE ) and the guards appeared and spoke new lines. An idea, but I do not know how easy it would be to do. The named guard that greeted me had the little horn helm. I thought it would be cool if they all started with the standard helm, but after the dragon incident they all switched to the little horn helm.

I do not know how they function if the player joins stormcloaks and assaults WR. If that makes them hostile, that would be a bummer. It seems like the bond to Dragonborn would be stronger than to the empire, but a good case could be made for loyalty to the Jarl. However, what if you duplicated the Imperial Faction and made it neutral to Stormcloaks?

The helm they wear is random with the whiterun guard outfit (just how it’s set up in the CK) so I’m probably not gonna change that.

During the battle for whiterun from either side, my NPCs should disable during the axe part then re-enable once the battle is over. So that way they won’t be hostile and won’t be patrolling during the battle.
