The Dark Spiky Grass file doesn't include the fomod install. The data isn't right when you select the option to install manually through MO2. What I've found to correct this and make the installation smooth is to go into MO2's file, go into downloads, and find the mod mentioning Dark Spiky Grass. NOT META. After that, open the mod with 7 Zip, or similar such as WinRar. Don't extract the folder because you're only going to be deleting files. So, go into the Dark Spiky Grass folder while it's still within 7 Zip and find the 1K, 2K, and 4K options. Now, decide which quality you want to keep and then delete the other K files. Close 7 Zip and install the mod through MO2 from the downloads tab/section like usual. When you check to install manually with MO2, the data warning should be gone and now be green. That's all.
Neither includes a fomod install as far as I can tell, lol? You really don't need to do all that. At least with me, when I open the file with MO2, it complains about data content not being valid. Just right click the resolution you want and set it as the data directory.
Hey Mari! The folder for the 1k textures for the brighter version is missing when I download it, even though previewing the files shows that there is a 1k version. Is it possible to reupload the file?
In folder BrightSpikyGrass you have 2k and 4k textures. (optional for manual change after installation, it's in your mod manager folder) By default, you have 1k textures installed in the game folder. So nothing is missing here!
What *are* spiky grass pods supposed to be? Cat tails? If so then the dark version would be more "accurate," right?
Both are accurate.
The appearance of the Cattail, or Bulrush as we call it in the UK, depends on the stage of its development. The flower head is actually a seed pod containing a mass of white fluff, which starts to burst out as the plant ages, giving it the appearance of a white flower.
Yes, I saw it. But for some reason, Bethesda made a different 3D model only for the ingredient, but not for the plant. So my retexture extends to DLC as well.
I can't speak for the the dark version but when installing this mod it doesn't give a option for 2k and 4k, it only installs the 1k. I'm using Vortex not MO2.
you need to look in the folder and replace the texture folders within. i simply moved the texture folder from inside the 2k and replaced the 1k. in vortex, go to the drop down next to "Remove" and click "Open in file manager" then check your taskbar for the file explorer window.
For Vortex I manually downloaded then opened the file and removed the two versions I did not want then rearchived the folder and installed with Vortex.

It's exactly the same phenomenon as a dandelion.
