    Greetings,

    Just posting here to let everybody know.
    If you install this mod with Landscape Fixes for Grass Mods, you will Hard Freeze in Eldergreen Sanctuary upon entering!
    If you install this mod WITHOUT Landscape Fixes for Grass Mods, you will Hard Freeze in Eldergreen Sanctuary entering!

    If doing quest in this place, uninstall this Mod and bring it back after done!

    Mod is crashing the "blind moth priest" place I can't recall the place's name of as well, I currently don't know any other inside location hard frozen/crashed by this mod.
    It is possible that the same happens with other Grass Mods, but this is yet unconfirmed.
    Also debunked that presence of followers contributes to crash/hard freeze in these places, this is not true, I tested with base game and Mod followers, Inigo as example.

    Just warning any other users to be aware, it took me a lot of headaches to figure all this out!

      If we'll crash entering Eldergreen Sanctuary with or without Landscape Fixes for Grass Mods then why bring it up at all?

      I just tested this mod and did not freeze or crash when entering Eldergleam Sanctuary.  This was also with Realistic Grass Field Expanded and Landscape Fixes for Grass Mods.

    Hi i need to add these lines??? They are not in the INI
    [Grass]
    bAllowCreateGrass=1
    bAllowLoadGrass=0
    iMinGrassSize=n, where n is 20-100. The smaller the number, the denser the grass cover.

      If they're not in your Skyrim.ini then I believe they'll use default settings, which I believe are correct as is for the first two lines. The third line is likely something moderate so you probably don't have to worry about that either. If you want to be sure then just add the lines yourself or add them to SkyrimCustom.ini instead.

    Just a warning for 1080p monitor users; For whatever reason, the grass textures for this mod don't play nicely in the distance. After a certain point they just stop rendering - I don't know if it's because mipmaps and something to do with how thin the grass blades are or what, but it slowly fades away after a certain distance. I suspect that it would be easy enough to fix by widening the size of the grass blades a bit, and making sure the mipmaps generate properly.

    It's not that the grass stops rendering though - it's still there, just the texture is invisible for whatever reason.

      You're right, I thought it had something to do with GrassFade settings, but when I zoomed in to fov 10 the grass was loaded perfectly fine with good density.

      Someone please let me know if you find a fix, I kinda like this grass mod.

      Ok I discovered a fix, so I extracted the textures from the BSA archive and opened the grass texture using the Paint.Net program, immediately save it (or save as), on the save settings window, check "generate mipmaps" and set the mode to bicubic. Now the grass loads in perfectly without much loss of quality. You can also leave mipmaps unchecked but I found that made the grass look too grainy for me.

      Maybe the author can update the mod using that method or I can upload my textures as a bug fix mod.

      How do I put the extracted BSA files back on the original one? Do I make a new BSA file using BSA OPT and replaced the one in the mod's directory?

      I used japanesus's method as well, and it works like a charm. I can upload the fix but I'm not sure if the author will allow it.

      Have you tried unticking the original and just let the fix load to see if that works?

      for anyone want to do the fix by yourself:  you just need to open dds file with photoshop,then save it,and don't choose the "generate mipmap" option.
      yeah the texture becomes invisible is because of the mipmap.

    Nice mod, and damn what a performance boost in comparison to other mods!

    Truly one of the best grass mods out there.

    Why is this so performance friendly? I test grass fps just outside riverwood, I was testing a bunch tonight trying to find a good stable FPS. In the area.. folkvangr doesn't look THAT different to warrant a 20fps drop.. yet. Granted that was with FPS booster.. without it (not sure if it was folkvangr or not) I was seeing FPS's of 15-25. With this I was getting a stable 60.

    I'd like to know why in case I can force a different grass mod to achieve similar results.

    Does anyone know how to make it work on Dyndolod 3? Because the grass lod just doesn't get created no matter how many times you run the program.

    I am using the 2K version. The first 2 ini entries are there but there is no entry for imingrasssize. I let Vortex install the mod. Does this line have to be added to the ini files manually because it doesn't say it does.

    I tried adding the ini entry for mingrasssize and set it to 100. It has added grass in more areas that I don't want it to. This isn't going to work for me.
