    Doesn't work as it crashes just like trying to go thru the front door after the gate and guard. Amazingly lazy is Bethesda for not fixing this main line Dawnguard quest line? Wait to tell me alot of the game is glitchy and bugged? Noooooooooo I do not beleive that a game dev would be so bad? Ok my bad Bethesda is that bad and all they care about is PROFITS.

    100% worked for me!

    The portculis was down and I was there before and after I got Serana, with and without the stupid Jetty boat and it wouldn't open and I was stuck with this companion -- and your mod worked, and this is the first time I've been able to play the Vampire questline.

    This mod ranks up there with the Unofficial Skyrim patch and should be apart of it. Well done.

    Where is the first trapdoor located (screenshot 1)? Maybe you can replace screenshot 1, or add an extra screenshot?

      It is located on the exterior tower. I just added a new main image to make it clearer. Thank you for the suggestion!

      Good to see the extra screenshot, that makes the location of the trapdoor perfectly clear.

      You do need to be a little bit carefull when using this shortcut.
      During some of the quests involving Castle Volkihar, the quest expects you to walk on the bridge, and on that spot the quest will update.
      The same is true for the main entrance door.
      If you skip those spots during quests (by using your trapdoor-shortcut), you also skip the trigger points for the quest.
      It is possible to break a quest, or at the least the quest will not update until you go back outside and walk over the bridge.
      That is also the reason that the default fast-travel location is at the beach, to make sure you walk over the bridge.

      When you are not on a quest, or after finishing all quests, then of course it is safe to use the shortcut. It is always nice to save some walking.

      Also i hope that the Dawnguard scouts can't use the trapdoor! Imagine finding those scouts inside the castle!
