This is a port to SSE from EulogySC NPCs I will however troubleshoot SSE issues if any on this page.
possible NAB not load last - not overwritting other replacer, etc. you might need patches to forward record from other mod that affect npcs if you want to keep their visual, pretty easy to overide into in xedit.

Not sure if there are other NPCs affected by this, but Sondas in Darkwater Crossing causes a reproducable freeze of the screen for me the second he comes in frame. Disabled this mod and it stopped. I had the same issue with the 1.4 version on the mod's original page prior to deletion.
Same issue was when I converted it to SSE. Next update I'll remake Sondas from scratch on the LE version maybe that will solve the issue in SE once it is converted.
Same problem, as soon as I'm about to go anywhere to Darkwater Crossing, the game stops responding, I disable the mod and it lets me get there. The mod is great.
I was having a similar issue, but with Verner Rock Chucker (also in Darkwater Crossing). Tested by using the "moveto player" command at a different location and got the same screen freeze as soon as he appeared.
All that aside, this is an amazing mod. All the fellas looking terrific.
Verner Rock-Chucker and Sondas Drenim both cause skyrim to freeze. After disabling the facegen for both I no longer got the freeze, which tells me the meshes for those two probably didn't port correctly. I have had that happen to me in the past on stuff I ported and sometimes messing with the settings in CAO will fix it, but not always. I don't know much about nif optimizer, but it may fix them. It is, as far as I know, a mesh issue. Usually it causes a ctd, this is the first time i have seen a freeze issue. I hope this helps.
For those people who run into this, you can simply delete the 00013665 and 0001366B records in the esp under the npc tab in Xedit, as well as the facegen in meshes and textures. This will allow you to keep most of the npcs, but get rid of the freezing problem.
For what it's worth, I just ran the latest Oldrim version of this mod through Cathedral Assets Optimzer and it works fine (including those NPCs mentioned here). Strictly speaking, you can even leave the esp file as Form 43 (it doesn't contain any record types that need updating, although MO2/Vortex will complain at you about it).
