Hmmm, not sure why, I have no other overhauls for the npcs in this. So I installed the updated version of this mod for version 6 of LOTD and selected version 2 in this installer for the old look for Auryen; rugged and human looking as thats my favourite look for him and this gave him the black face bug but version 1 works. That's such a shame his old look was so much nicer. I have tried tweaking load order, disable and enabling him and nothing works.
Hmm. Maybe try using the meshes from the old version? If that works then I can repack them with the update. I didn't alter any meshes, only edited the plugin so not sure why it would blackface.
Yeah, I am so lost. When I clicked on him with More Informative Console to get his id to check through the old version, I get Editor ID as DBM_AuryenMorrellus, Base ID of 0912537E and Ref ID 09124CFE, yet when I check the meshes folder the base ID is not there nor the older folder. I looked at another Auryen replacer which is lovely up until Rkund and his face distorts so badly there he balloons up and that one has ID's for 6 versions of him with the following ID's; 00270365, 0058B96B, 0033D910, 004D1803, 000E66A7 and 0012537E and they are identical it seems when I took a peek in NifSkope. Am I right in assuming each is for each of the excavations as a new version is needed? But why I'm getting 09 I don't have a clue. I just see there's an update to LOTD 6.1 so I'll grab that and start a new game, only got to level 9 but I am so confused about the 0912537E number.
EDIT. Started a new game after installing 6.1 of LOTD and same thing. Here is a screenshot I took.
Edit: I took a look in xedit and in the most recent version, v2 of Auryen is missing his hair and beard. I'm assuming the xedit record is that of v1 Auryen, but the mesh is v2. I fixed the xedit record by adding the hair/beard and he looks as he should now.
Hi Rynfri, would you mind sharing the fixed version please? If not don't worry, I am using this mod for Auryen which works well as long as you don't use the smile patch that caused his face to deform badly when doing the Rkund quest.
Hiya, SpookyDovah, I was having this same issue. This is my first time using Xedit so I by no means know if this is correct. But trying to do what Rynfri said worked for me too. Opening this mod in SSSEdit and finding Auryens character and adding the correct hair headpart worked for me.
Yeah sadly I know very little about xedit beyond compacting forms and flagging things as an esl. Never even looked at doing anything else I wouldn't know where to even begin. I am content using the other mod I mentioned now anyway but thanks.
Hey, so I forgot that there are like six different versions of Auryen. I've fixed them all, but the first esp I linked still had some errors. This is the actual fixed one for Auryen V2, use this one instead.
Thanks Rynfri. I should add that there was an issue for me with Ezra's hand nifs (gap/seam). 1NGR\LotDNPCs\BodyF\femalehands_1.nif & femalehands_0.nif I replaced the ones in the mod with Caliente's and all is good. Just fyi
SSEdit reported several unreferenced forms in the mod - a package and a carried item on several characters. For now I've deleted these and Skyrim loads up. Hopefully won't have a drastic effect - I shall see...
You really made the characters in LotD look great!! I am just getting into installing overhauls (currently Pride of Skyrim) and wanted the NPCs in this mod to look as good, and this does it! Thank you!!
I ran into Jerrin outside Castle Dour. He had purple hair, possibly the nif references a missing texture? Everything looked proper in xEdit, but I don't have a nif editor to look inside the mesh. Let me know if the problem is on your end or my end. Thank you.
edit: i set up NifSkope and checked out the meshes. all the hairstyle textures reference textures\ks hairdo's\... which is not included in the archive (the textures are under textures\1NGR\LotDNPCs\(npc)\...). meaning, this mod is not standalone but requires KS Hairdos.
i can't get this mod to work anymore. it's enabled and installed properly, but the npcs are still vanilla. i made sure the mod is loaded after lotd, nothing. not sure what's going on? EDIT: i found the problem, it's with vanilla hair replacer by preeum. i'm not a modder, so i wouldn't know how to make a patch.
it doesn't affect auryen at all. as far as i can tell, everyone else is working. this is happening with other lotd overhauls too. i don't have any other mods making changes to auryen
