Just a thought, the only thing i've come across with this which i didn't like was if you enter Mzinchaleft from Blackreach everything is basically fine except there are locked gates which need the Mzinchaleft lever puzzle to be solved. So i had to use console TCL to get through, maybe you could put a lever or something to bring the gate or gates down. Like i say, just a thought, like the mod though...may try doing it myself which is probably not a great idea
this looks cool. i always thought it would be cool if some of the dwemer items found in the game could be used universally. like the use of the cubs and the power source for the big centenarians, but after killing them the power source could be used for other things regarding dwemer tech.

Weird, i was just contemplating doing something like this the other day, i have Dwemer Gates Don't Reset Mod but i still find them closed at times...update tried them and all work fine, will endorse
I love the idea of this mod, especially since I have run up against an unopened wall that I thought would lead me up and out, and wondered what I was missing, only to later realize that I had completely forgotten about having to open it from above. Mods like this, and the one that keeps the dwemer gates from re-sealing after you've already opened them, are nice little mods that just make the dwemer ruins a little less tedious for me. lol
Aren't you worried well not so much worried that, the reason you can't open things even if you are just exploring, is the area is a quest need and might break quests tho , just on the off chance of poeple wanting to do them later after theyre've been down there once already ? ( just sayin and asking }
That's a fair question; I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think so. I didn't see any important quest triggers on a quick sweep through. Alftand is involved in two quests (MQ205 and DA04), neither of which should update inside the ruin. There are two NPCs in the room above the staircase, but coming up doesn't seem to break the scene, and the dialogue actually still makes sense that way. Mzinchaleft has FreeformRiften09 and DBSideContract10. FreeformRiften09 just has you pick up a sword from the last room; this mod arguably unbalances that quest, since you can now pick up the sword without fighting the boss, but doesn't break it. DBSideContract10 shouldn't be affected either. Possible you couldn't reach the necessary NPC going through the ruin backwards, but there's no reason you couldn't then go through forwards and complete it. Raldbthar has DLC1LD and DB03. DLC1LD just has you pick up an item that's there from the start of the game. DB03 has you kill an NPC who's there from the start of the game. So forwards and backwards should be the same.
It is entirely possible that a mod-added quest would break, or that a gate would be impossible to open, if going through a ruin backwards. Not much I can do about those. My idea was more to allow you to go up from Blackreach, loot the last handful of chests, and leave through the lift.
Ahh ok thanks for your thoughts on that, I was always worried about break pre quest areas, so missed out on a lot of areas to explore, and know that some area you almost fully explore without breakage, because the vip area are either walled off or just not open till you have ther right quest !! Oh yeah, I know I've accidentally killed important NPCs a few times going through random dungeons. Might be a good idea to stick a warning in the description anyway, thanks for bringing it up!
