Conflicts with Better Unarmed, somehow breaks the sneak attack perks being applied to unarmed.

Check comments on this page guys, this mod doesn't (really) work.

doesn't seem to be working for me, though I have 200+ mods so it could be anything. I assume the main suspects are Ordinator or Imperious though, as I dont have any other mods altering unarmed. Im playing a Khajiit monk using modified gloves of the pugilist, though without the gloves I still get the same effect. I am also loading this mod in mid playthrough, of course. haven't tried to see if it works well with a new save as set up for me is a nightmare.

Most likely Imperious... All mods of this kind only seem to work with vanilla races. Sadly, I haven't found an author yet who was willing to do a patch... I tried, but I failed miserably, as my modding knowledgeable is close to zero.

Are you sure you have this mod enabled? How is it not working?

I've discovered something looking at LE unarmed mods. Apparently this mod won't do anything because the unarmed weapon data is only used in brawls, not normal hand to hand. Normal hand to hand data has to be accessed through Race>Attack Data>H2H. Someone double check me please.

*confirmed. Can change the unarmed weapon speed to 0.1 or stagger to 2.0 and you will see no change. will not achieve mod intention with weapon data, mod has to be redone

a workaround is to equip the brawl weapon in console: player.equipitem 1f4
although I'm unsure if there will be downsides to equipping a background ghost weapon like this

Daggers are quieter then the fists, however, the speed fix sounds reasonable.

do me a favor. Grab a knife from your kitchen and swing it. Then throw a punch. In real life both are silent why wouldn't they be in the game?

most things are silent in the air, it's how loud they are on impact that matters

@Tag727 And dropping a vase is silent til it hits the ground. It's the impact that matters, not the swing.

This spot of comment section may or may not killed the intention of the mod, apparently thanks to @Tag727's negligence of how sound works... or bad presentation to what this mod actually does. Then again, me swinging the knife makes sound(at least I can hear it, and it's not that kind of swing, it's basically like you're swing a racket but with lower decibels) including my own punch swing make noise(mostly from clothes, but I can still hear the swing)

Impact being the key word here...
Tell us all how npcs can here you swinging your fists in the air, when you miss them.

      spot on SomeGuy1234567890.
fists should be silent when you miss and just hit air.
The game has separate mechanics for handling detection when an attack lands a hit.

TO ANYONE READING COMMENTS LIKE THEY SHOULD.

Look on down to see Tritonforge's comment on 02 March 2021, 5:43AM. They detail why this mod does not work as you may think. There are likely many ways to fix said issue.
It may be possible to edit for example, a mod like Imperious, as it seems to directly relate to what Tritonforge lists below.

Umm, in real life stabbing someone is much quieter than hitting them.

In reality you don't alert everyone in a city by punching a peasant either.

Punching someone is quiet. It's the noises they make that can be loud.

Agreed.  I have been hit, and hit other people without much more noise than a few grunts.  It's not like slap boxing. I am a former soldier, and I know that one "popular" strike is the base of the skull with a rifle butt. Pretty much instant dead(never killed anyone to be clear, just what my drill sgts said).  I'd assume a fist would work much the same.

i hated that what i thought was a silent neck snap ended up alerting every bandit in a 500 mile radius directly to where i was standing. thank you for this mod.
