I want to start off by apologizing for any comments that were made weeks or even months ago that I never replied to. If you were having any issues I hope you got those sorted out.
So, it turns out that, while I absolutely adore this game, I do the very common thing of moving on to other games for a while before coming back to the land of Skyrim. These periods of inactivity can last for weeks or, more often, months at a time and during this time I have the regrettable habit of neglecting my mod pages. Because of that, I have tweaked the permissions for my mods. Now those of you experiencing the odd bug or want to see patches for popular mods are free to use my assets for those endeavors. The only thing I ask for is credit, which I know none of you have any problem giving. It is my hope that this change will enhance your ability to enjoy my mods. Which is, of course, the point of making it at all.
And I'm no good at closers so I'll leave it at that.
ThiefEyes_SSE.esp has a minor bug with a cell name
It has a cell named "Noro_ThiefEyesMarkerStorage"
Underscores in Cell Editor IDs break save sorting in SkyrimSE.PSASo, for those who aren't aware, there's a 'bug' where saves made in certain mod-added cells don't get sorted under the character name.
If I understand your comment correctly, this shouldn't be a problem for anyone as the cell in question is never accessible to the player unless certain console commands are used. Without intentionally warping yourself to this cell, there should never be a time where a player is making a save inside this cell.
I love this mod, I would never find any of the marks on my own. However, there is something is wrong with the Thieves Caches. They do not glow at all. Unfortunately, I'm just not smart enough to figure out how to use modding tools myself, so I can't figure out what the problem is.
It would be awesome if someone could make an MCM for changing the colors. And possibly control brightness? Not a clue if it's even possible, and I don't really expect anyone to be interested...
Unfortunately, this appears to be abandoned. =( Very cool for the parts that work, though.
Anyone having their shadowmarks not show, check your decal quanity setting.
Easiest way is to open the SSE Launcher > options > advanced > "decal quanity" dropdown. Make sure it is set to HIGH.
I can't belive I forgot this, as it will hide vanilla marks too. It worked for me, and as long as there are no mod conflicts (can be checked through SSEedit) it might work for you too, I hope it does.
Now, I'm going to go bang my head against a wall. Happy gaming!
I love this idea, and I want it so bad it hurts. I have it installed with Vortex, I picked out different colors, I've read the new Shadowmarks book Tonilla sells twice just in case, but nothing. All the vanilla marks are gone as well, there's literally nothing. I do not have Open Cities or Expanded Towns and Cities. Any advice is appreciated
Mod works, just not compatible with mods like Thieves Guild Requirements and similar overhauls that may overwrite these files. Also I'm getting the feeling that ENB's don't let these display properly, so not compatible. Works, just not with everything.
Literally doesn't work, at all, book spawned just fine, but no change to the shadowmarks at all, I've double and tripple checked that I have the glow setting selected and still just doesn't work.
Edit:
More in-depth, read through every single other comment, can't fix my issue after reinstalling countless times. I know it's not an issue with not having an ENB either because the color is not different either
It looks exactly the same as base game, I have the plugin and mod itself enabled in vortex too so it's not that it's not properly enabled on my side.
Edit 2:
The yellow color for the shadow marks does not seem to change the look from the base game, at all, but I can see a faint color to some of the others like red or blue. What ENB did you use to make this look like the screenshots?
I have now tested 4 different ENBs, Vanilla ENB, Performance ENB, Haze and Imparter ENB and none, not a single one of them had it glow like in the screenshots.
I have the newest version of the Base ENB mod properly installed n' everything.
Open it up in sseedit with all your mods and Apply Filter to Show Conflicts, as Thieves Guild Requirements also makes changes to shadowmarks, which is what I'm thinking might be a possibility. I never use ENB's, so can't help you there.
Well, guess I'm the unluckiest here. First, the book just didn't work. Probably, didn't even spawn in Tonilla's list, cause I could only buy usuall shadowmarks book. Second, when I tried to uninstall the mod, shadowmarks didn't reappear back to the world. I just don't know anymore...
i do not have any of the mods that need the patches but i am having an issue were the shadow marks dont show up at all i installed it during a playthrough and had already joined the thieves guild do i need to start a new playthrough for it to work?
is there a bug in this mod or the immersive marks mod that makes the marks disappear completely? I instyalled the mod(s), and have read the books that make it kick off. but the marks seem to still be absolutely nowhere, even spots that i know full well they are at. but they neither show at all, or even glow the color i set them to. i dont believe i have an interfering mod, so im at a loss on what the issue is.
I could not, for the life of me, get this mod to work. I use Open Cities, and that's literally the only one that needed a patch. I read the book, I am in the thieves guild, my decal settings are all set as high as they can go. I don't understand what else I could possibly do for this. The ONLY shadowmark I could manage to see was the cache beside Honeyside, and it was standard.
