7-5-23 Update! Sorry for being so quiet on Khash here. I first started up working on her questline, and while I got everything implemented, it was so buggy I didn't know how to fix it. (Maybe it wasn't my best idea to make this questline my more detailed quest learning experience.) Because of all that, I have decided to take this chance with my new knowledge to entirely rebuild Khash. I'm still quite a ways from having this done, but I am 900 lines in, where she will have 1800 lines (maybe more,) in the new update. Sadly, none of this is voiced yet. To give a taste of what is to come though this remaster will have:
reformatting her backstory lines so they are done more naturally and not in phases.
better clothing system with crafting clothes and buying them from a new merchant.
New introduction quest that makes more sense for a kid trying to make her way in the world of Skyrim.
7 quest questline with many new npcs!
All new armors for her to wear.
Questions she asks the player and will remember the player's answers.
New backpack system
More immersive summon spell (no longer a summon spell, but a bird whistle.)
And new system where Khash can get mad at the player depending on their actions and leave for a few days.
These are just a few of the many changes/new features in the update that are currently implemented. And there are more I have planned, but don't want to get anyone's hopes up by saying them. I'm unsure when it will be out. More of a 'it's ready when it's ready,' but either way I can't wait for all of you to see the finished product!
Honestly, my most wished-for feature is adoption and the conversations leading up to and after. I love this little argonian so much and I just want to be there for her always (╥﹏╥)
I absolutely adore this lil Lizard, just sad my racemenu messes with her textures and i can only see her face, feels weird when she's all blue and not a fully lizard
On the off chance you have not found the fix yet, download the Racemenu fix for Khash right here on this mod page! I had the same issue when I went looking for a fix.
I know load orders are a finnicky thing, but if anybody is having issues with Khash's textures, here's what's fixed it for me after browsing some of the comments here, plus some experimentation with my own LO.
1. Delete/do not use the RaceMenu patch. Apparently it's outdated. Instead, open up the RaceMenu ini (should be easily accessible from your mod manager), search the document for "bEnableTangentSpaceCorrection=1" and change the 1 to a 0 (zero). Save and close the file; you're done there. (Don't ask me what that does though; I have no idea.) 2. Make sure Khash and all her patches load after RaceMenu (and optionally, the RaceMenu Plugin). Depending on what version of LOOT you're on, you might have to manually add in the rule. If you don't know how: open up LOOT, hit the Filters tab at the bottom, search "Khash", go back to Plugins, right-click Khash The Argonian.esp, and on the right, select "load after". Choose "add new rule" at the bottom, and enter "RaceMenu.esp" and, if you have it, "RaceMenuPlugin.esp", save, and have LOOT re-sort your LO. 3. Regarding RBT - have Khash and her patches load before RBT.esp. This may or may not work for you, but it's what does for me, so putting it out there just in case. If you need to, add a rule to RBT to have it load after Khash's esp and patches. Same method as above, just swap out all the times you entered "RaceMenu" for "Khash".
I can't speak for Cloud's Tweaks, as I don't use it, AutoBody, or even CBBE, but I'd assume it'd be placed last among Khash's patches, or sandwiched between them and her main esp. I do, however, use high-poly Khash patch provided by CNPCO Argonians, and it's been auto-sorted to group with the rest of her patches; her textures still look fine.
So, to summarise, my LO regarding Khash looks like this:
RaceMenu (with the edited .ini file)
RaceMenuPlugin
Khash's main esp
Khash patches (minus the RaceMenu patch)
RBT
And her textures look normal in my game. Hope this'll help somebody else, too.
I recently installed the Gates to Sovengard (idk how to spell it) modpack and there must be a mod in there that makes Khash's entire body just disappear, but I'm not sure which one. Anyone else have this issue/know which mod it is that would cause this problem?
I created a small patch to increase Khash following distance (basically restoring vanilla following distance values). Do you allow me to publish it? Thank you in advance.
Is there an option to make her swear less? It feels like a bit of a disconnect that she interchangeably uses actual curses mixed in with kid friendly substitutes.
I mean that is a highly subjective "disconnect" and I would advise you use reality as an example of why it isn't. My mom will say "dang" and "heck" in the same sentence she uses "f***". That's just how people speak. It's not like there's and on and off switch for when we decide to be explicit lol.
You installed the child version of Cloud's tweaks which makes Khash's race a unique child race that's why she's running from combat You would need a mod that allows children to fight if you want to use that version of the mod
But, i don't want others child going to fight. Nonono i used 1st file of Cloud's Khash. So for now, I setrace argonian her, and now she fights, she has textures, but his lips don't move when talking...
Sorry to bring back this old issue but did you ever fix this? I am having the exact same problem as you. I'm using Cloud's main file, not the child one. Setting her race to Argonian with the console works, but her lips don't move when she talks. I can't uninstall Cloud's tweaks as her body textures are gone without it, probably due to some conflict with an argonian retexture mod I use
Hey, she's supposed to be essential but my Khash died somehow and I didn't notice at first. I went back to her body and used the resurrect command but now she doesn't have any dialogue about following me again. Is there any way to reset her?
I second this, she also somehow died without me noticing didnt realise she was not essential is there any way to bring her back fully. Also tried resurrect but it gave me no follower dialogue as well.

Edit: Fixed, that was because of this mod Cloud's Khash the Argonian Tweaks at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) BUT without this mod, Khash body textures missing !!
You would need a mod that allows children to fight if you want to use that version of the mod
Nonono i used 1st file of Cloud's Khash.
So for now, I setrace argonian her, and now she fights, she has textures, but his lips don't move when talking...
