Seems to be working great as it is. Make sure to use the script patch linked in earlier posts. It seems like some negative effects from KIC still apply, but there's an option in MCM menu to disable them.

I've decided to only use KIC soaps, and I have removed Dirt and Blood's soap crafting recipes and "Wash and Rinse" ability altogether in my own custom patch.

Not sure if the patch in this mod or my custom patch are still up to date with latest "Dirt and Blood" - it was based on 2.32 (latest version is 2.35).

If you use it you have to also use the scripts, which override some scripts in Keep It Clean, but require "powerofthree's Papyrus Extender":
There's a compatibility available in "Water for ENB" installer, but I didn't like how adding "dangerous water" flag disabled splashy sounds while character is wading through water.

Instead, powerofthree's Papyrus Extender has a function IsInWater(Actor akTarget) which is very easy to use and seems to be working just great.

If only the script replacer to disable keep it clean was still around... I don't like keep it cleans glowy dirt.

here is a link to the script: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/47095?tab=files&file_id=191870
Nexus archives mods now even if they're hidden or deleted and these archives can be found easily on google.

On a new game it seems to be working for me on 1170. You have to cook soaps then you have to cook wash water. I never got the script change as it's been removed, but I use this with both mods active. Seems okay so far. Any idea if the script was bad or was it just removed?

Okay, on further use I'd say using these two together has issues. Going with Dirt and Blood only

I really don't recommend to use theese two mods together, guys. I broke my game: the Sneak skill froze at 0 level, due to Keep It Clean Debaff. I tried everything and nothing helped: neither the script patch, nor cleaning scripts by Falrim, nor removing the mod and cleaning scripts by Falrim. I had to start new game.

So, you better choose or Dirt and Blood, or Keep it Clean. Personally I stopped on Dirt and Blood, cause it looks cool. There is a patch for Keep It Clean soaps for Dirt and Blood, and I hope someone one day gonna make a patch adding inns's bathrooms...

The patch doesn't work : I use it normally that is with keep it clean off, + the script patch below to avoid that soaps start keep it clean and despite that after a while I get the debufs from keep it clean dirt visible also in the effects tab with comments like "dirty - need to wash!". It's easy to make them to go away though, only need to toggle keep it clean on in its mcm, it will activate and immediately deactivate because of this patch probably and all its dirt will go away at the same time. So well the patch works partially, but not very well.

Edit : after trying this setup for a few days, I finally simply disabled keep it clean and all its dependencies/patches. The approach of dirt & blood is much better for what's important : the dirt and how to handle it.  Keep it clean has nice bathrooms and interesting soaps but they are quite expensive and hard to make, after a while the "wash and rince" from dirt & blood is an easier option. And with the broken patch here the dirt from keep it clean kept on coming back at a bad time, like just before a persuasion check... ! So just use dirt & blood alone, much better choice !

I also use both KIC and D & B, and am frustrated by the duplicate messages that this patch is apparently not preventing.  I get one message from one mod that I'm "clean", and at the same time I get a message from another mod that I'm "not dirty" (but not squeaky clean either).  I think I will have to drop one of the two mods.  I do like the KIC bathrooms, but D & B blood and dirt effect are also great.  Damn.

Is this mod still fully functional? I've tried it but although it does clean the statuses from dirt and blood, it doesn't fully prevent KiC from starting. After I took a bath, there's no clean buff from the KiC mod but after the buff from the soap runs out, I received an effect that says "Not Dirty" which I believe comes from KiC. Should I just use the old version of the mod?

Hello, I'm using the default version with KIC' "Start Keep It Clean" checkbox unchecked, but when I wash using one of KIC soaps I still get a buff from the soap, and the buff doesn't disappear at all. I tested waiting somewhat around 300 in-game hours and the buff didn't go away. I can change the buff if I use a different soap (like plain) though.

Ah you noticed that you get doubled buffs and issues resulting from them , while i can not remove your doubled buff now , you can try the debug option or restart option from KiC , maybe your buff gets removed , and then deactivate KiC in MCM again and install my script patch from here .

      https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/47095

that will prevent KiC from autostarting after you used a KiC Soap. which will also prevent the doubled buff

This patch does not fix the problem, the buff of soap of KiC  stay active all the time, even if your character gets dirty. Because the buff is removed when the mod KiC is active.

I am finding myself in a bit of a struggle with this mod. It doesn't seem to appear in my mod manager at all. I thought it was all good when I installed it (apparently I didn't pay attention when I did) and since it obviously isn't installed it doesn't work in my game.  Can someone guide me? I use wrye bash, maybe I have to use another manager?
EDIT: nevermind I just changed the .zip to .7z and it worked. Not sure if that's safe, but now at least the mod is there. Thanks for the patch, it's been a hazard to juggle between the two. :))

Weird! Re-compressing it as a .7z should be safe.

Thank you dischorde for making a patch so KiC and DnB work together , im sure you or a couple users have noticed that KiC will still activate itself when you use a KiC Soap and you will get double buffs .

i made a script patch and got permission from Sthaagg to upload it , my script patch will block the auto start when using KiC soaps , it is meant to prevent the double buff issue.

you and the users of your patch can get it here : https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/47095

Thanks! I haven't been playing Skyrim for a bit so I hadn't run into that issue yet. I've edited the mod description and added a link to your fix.
