I've never posted before considering that I have submitted pics more than once, but I love this little follower mod even despite the simplicity of a black goat follower, I use NFF to designate him a Tanking role with Defender combat style there is nothing more amusing than seeing him stand on his hind legs headbutting the enemy whilst bleating clanking with a loud metallic tanking buff.
He is such a fantastic Tank & doesn't accidentally jump into my cone of fire either, if you ever have a hard time finding that one pesky archer he quickly seeks them out.
I have Shadow of Skyrim - Nemesis and Alternative Death System loaded as well, with combat revival activated which is especially useful in the midst of Vampire Hunter Tet-Triad squads from Better Vampires & since he is such a damage sponge manages to revive me several times permitting a quick escape in a pinch.
Black Phillip is essential (Unkillable) by default yet I also use Follower Death and Injury Chance - Followers Can Die in combination with WARZONES - Civil Unrest for SSE giving him an odds of (1% Death Chance, 2% Injury Chance), making his death extremely rare yet 100% possible, once Black Phillip tanked far too many and was swarmed by arrows I got a big notification "Black Phillip has Died". I reloaded a quick-save & made Phillip wait at a safe distance... Immersion like this makes me value him more.
F.Y.I. I have deleted all my other additional follower/companion mods from my load order yet retained only Black Phillip. This mod deserves more endorsements than it has received, my only gripe is that he isn't compatible with Fluffworks (Fluffy Animals).
I love this mod and was thinking, "Phil needs a place of his own. Whiterun just doesn't do it. If it is alright with you I would love to include this mod in a world space I am working on based on the VVitch. Yes, your mod inspired the whole effort.
Lol. You'd be surprised how many people comment on my stuff to ask for help when they clearly didn't read the directions or the troubleshooting advice, and then are never heard from again after I simply ask if they did any of that.

Afraid I can't seem to find him.. Looked all over Whiterun and all around Olava's house, tried detect life a bit which turned up nothing, reinstalled all the things and yet still he's simply not there. Any idea if maybe open cities has some issues with this? that's the only mod I've got that I think could conflict. or mayhaps is there a way I could summon him through the console?
I fucking love this goat. He never gets in my way, always hangs around in the periphery, never follows me inside where a goat should not go, and waits like a good boy outside. He's not loud, lies down when he's chilling, and will not hesitate to f*#@ up anything that threatens me.
I can't seem to get him to work. He appears in Whiterun, and when I get close it says "Press E to talk" but when I press E, nothing happens. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, disabling all other follower mods, and still the same. My current mod list is as follows:

I figured it out! I had a stray dog following me that got lost fighting some wolves. I reloaded a save prior to combat and told the dog to go home. Now I can get Black Philliip no problem :D
