I just changed the cell data to match ELE lighting. All of the interior cells edited by these plugins use the farmhouse lighting except one which is solitude lighting in Oakwood(Rormilirs Fine Sundries). Some interior cells were also missing some regional weather and/or sky-enabled. NO objects were touched by these plugins other than cell data just as ELE does it. So it shouldnt cause problems unless you have another plugin that will overwrite them back with wrong load order.
Thank you for the detailed info. Much appreciated. What about this mods, they have been announced to be compatible with ELE https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/37831 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/38595
ELE is very compatible since it only edits cell data and lighting templates unlike the other two mods you mention which edits objects/light sources. As long as you put these esl plugins after them you should be fine.
Due to the nature of Skyrim mods, especially those adding scripts, it is strongly discouraged to attempt uninstalling a mod from your active game. Any mod that is more than pure mesh or texture replacements has the possibility to leave behind permanent changes to your save that you may not want. This is not something modders can correct for. It is how the game was designed by Bethesda. No support will be provided for anyone who uninstalls this mod from an active game and continues on with that save.
To remove the mod: Delete the Helarchen Creek.esp and Helarchen Creek.bsa from your Data folder. Then reload your game as usual.
Helarchen Creek Mods is no worth for you using it that is compatible with ELE patches. Same things with other mods are deleted from Nexus below. They are useless and not working anymore because obviously they are deleted from Nexus so you can't reinstall them later.
ELE - Darkwater Crossing.esp ELE - DragonBridge.esp ELE - ETAC Riverwood.esp ELE - Granite Hill.esp ELE - Helarchen Creek.esp ELE - Karthwasten.esp ELE - Keld-Nar.esp ELE - Oakwood.esp ELE - SoljundSinkholes.esp ELE - Whistling Mines.esp
I decided to remove all of them and ELE Patches from MO2 and replace them with other mods that are working fine so it's time for me to change the mods and move on forward. I have to restart over DynDOLOD SE 3.0 and Alpha 17 and reinstall it without Helarchen Creek and all of those locations to avoid CTD. Next I use Loot in order to organize mods to stay stability and good performance in the game. I suggest you remove all of them that are no good for you using them but it's up to you.
They are useless and not working anymore because obviously they are deleted from Nexus so you can't reinstall them later.
The above statement is objectively false.
Arthmoor removed his mods from the Nexus (I think largely in protest against their collections feature...) but maintains them at a site called AFKmods, so Helarchen Creek and all of the other mods you listed above are still fine to use. Just because a mod is no longer hosted on the Nexus, does not mean it is no longer available.
Hello, can you tell me how you make patches for ELE step by step, I read a similar comment below but it’s making me confused I know you had to use xedit, but I don’t want to mess up my mods, so maybe a guide step by step will help? Thanks
ELE edits the cell record of an interior. You just go to that record and add the lighting template that ELE uses depending on location, simple. But since It adds differing ones per region sometimes like cool/warm areas then I just copied those instead of adding the LTMP record only.
Im not really na xEdit expert but if u just poke around them you will get it. Try n try and test it ingame.
This is what I am using: https://lexyslotd.com/guide/mod-installation-part-2/#windhelm-lighthouse https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/8453 I should probably put that in the description. Thanks for clearing that up!
I did more than change it into ELE Lighting by putting more precise lighting by using ELE's edits on nearby relevant locations instead of just copying the same farmhouse default lighting interior that those patches provide and also added fixes for some cells that were missing flags for sky weather/music and corrected some for example a new interior added by the mod is using music that does not match the other vanilla interiors in the location/nearby. I should have done a changelog of the exact edits and I actually did but I cleared it out of my notepad >_< bad practice I know hehe.
i tried to install ver1.1 and i keep getting and install error on Vortex the message is as follows "The installer ELE patches fomod-42112-1-1-1605506827.7z is invalid: The element 'pattern' has incomplete content. List of possible elements: 'files'. Please inform the mod author" so im informing you lol
It seems the fomod only works for MO2. I do not use vortex and cant test it. If you like you could download the old version and the separate files that you just need. It is all still on the files page. Just pick and choose what you need, sorry I cant help further.
no problem thanx for the help but it is something to look in to for Vortex users i had to do the same thing for a mod i did as i use Vortex and not MO2 i know not all mods dont work with all Mod Managers but i do have MO2 and ill try to install using that
I made the FOMOD but I don't use Vortex either so have no clue why it not working with Vortex. I have put a plea to more knowledgeable users of Vortex then me
Which version of "Palaces and Castles Enhanced" did you use? In version 2.3, there are no cells with the PCE prefix and there are not many cells with names like "Blue Palace, Old Dungeon".
I use the most recent version I believe 2.3. Those were minor changes I was inclined to do with testing since their editorIDs didnt have a uniform format so I could easily coc on them, they should be harmless. One cell also had incorrect name. The Jarl Quarters spelled "Quaters". You can change it back if you like. I'll try to refrain from doing those in my future efforts. Sorry.
For a "home-made" translation, it is important to match the EDID - in Creation Kit, find out what is related to what... difficult. P.S. And yes - thank you very much!
Looking forward to trying these out. Question about PCE - doesn't it come with its own custom lighting template? Do you find that the ELE ones look better?
Yes it does but I prefer ELE, thats why I made this patch for myself and sharing it. If not for patching for ELE, I wouldnt see that there is a glass terrarium behind the curtain in the Blue Palace Parlour's main room since it was too bright and yellow before which you can see that isnt the case anymore in the screenshot I took.

so im informing you lol
it looks like only image space and lighting template are the major changes that add the ele look to an interior cell.
Edit: i didnt notice this a first but the picture with all the ele changes have slightly darker shadows.
The patch for Lucien seems to require ELE-ELFX Patch AIO.esp, is that a mistake ?
P.S. And yes - thank you very much!
