Well, then you'd have three gems "left out", so to speak, of being useful for alchemy, which is why I made the new salts to begin with.
However it's your game, so if that doesn't bother you, it's a quick thing you can do yourself with just xEdit. The ESP's very small, just the six smelter recipes. Delete the three new ones, resave, and voila.
about to test this mod in my list but whilst i remember wanted to stop by and say this is a lovely and honestly relatively immersive addon, going to pair it with vitrium and a few other mods that enhance alchemy.
Edit: Bother... so it appears as thought the blood salt effects clash with alchemy and food adjustments... going to have a look in xedit to see if i can solve the issue.
Edit 2: nvm you can indeed fix this in xedit, mod has safely been given a permanent home in my load order. thanks again for this humble yet satisfying addon.
It won't break anything, it'll just either overwrite or be overwritten, depending on load order. And the clash is in scaling/scripting, so some changes from Alchemy Mods just won't apply to the blood salts rather than not work.
Both files have the new salts, the version you're talking about requires a Gem + a Salt Pile to craft. As opposed to the "Low Sodium" version which just requires a Gem to make. I'll update the description to be a little clearer.
-Does work on AE.( Of course it would because of what it is. But stating just in case people have doubt)
-Have not ran into any problems at all(play time of about 36hours, but not using any mods that alter alchemy other then the free creation club "Rare Curios" )
-Uses the "smelter" to craft. Place you make ingots(I rushed installing mod and thought it would add to the potions or cooking menu. I came back after installing wondering why it didnt show up in those menus. I looked at the pictures lol. I felt dumb.)
-I feel it is balance by default for the input output of items. I use the normal version.
-IS A MUST! If you are playing with the survival mod from creation club. The fire salts are needed to make hot meals. Which are waaaaayayyy too costly via store or as drops. (Main reason I even found this mod)
Edit: Forgot to mention why hot meals are a thing. Survival has a cold warm system for the pc. No fast travel via map. So if you have to roam during cold weather or nights will you freeze to death. The cold debuffs you by cutting down your "max hp" little by little til you have nothing left. Which make fighting at night way harder early on(and fun). Hot meals reset this effect. As does going into a place or town/city. Why this is a must for survival mod.
The image shows the fourth property of Air Salts as being waterwalking; but there is nothing else in the game with that property. Do you use a mod that adds additional ingredients with the property? If not, how do I make use of it?
I actually didn't realize that. It was one of the options in the vanilla CK list, so I picked it.
I'm guessing there's probably other alchemy mods out there that add it to their ingredients as well, though I couldn't say what. Maybe someone else can comment on that.
Waterwalking is an effect that was added by the Dragonborn DLC, but it is very rare in it. There's some boots with an enchantment and ONE potion that can be found in one of the mines in Solstheim.
Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul (CACO) takes advantage of it and adds it as an effect to a bunch of alchemical ingredients ( think mainly a bunch of new fishes it adds? It adds a lot of new ingredients and rearranges some vanilla ones, so I'm sure there's a bunch I haven't found).
Hey, I just published a small patch for your mod that adds bulk crafting recipes, to process stacks of 5, 10, and 20 gems at a time. Thanks for making such a great mod!
So...would this work with CACO? I know you say it just adds and shouldn't conflict, but...would it not work with CACO's new alchemy system since it isn't classified in it? Or am I overthinking?
I can't really say for sure because I'm not familiar with that mod, but I heavily doubt it'll outright conflict. The three vanilla salt recipes make the actual vanilla salts from Skyrim.esm, and the new ones are just remixes using vanilla effects. Potions made with the new salts might be a bit more powerful than the rebalanced CACO ingredients, but there won't be any bad effects from having the two installed together.
That being said, if they don't show up or something let me know and I'll update the main page.

A quick hack job later, there's now a "Vanilla Flavored" file that's only the vanilla salts, and "Low Sodium Vanilla Latte" that's gem-only. Enjoy.

Simple easy mod. THANK YOU @theninjew .
