Mod changes one game entry - UISpellLearned [SNDR:000ECF93], which is sound played when spell is learned. It is empty it is not played every time you read a spell tome. It is very unlikely that any other mod changes this, if so place this mod bellow. Does new spells need a patch?
Spoiler:
Show
No patch is needed. Mod added spells are compatible if they can be learned like spells in unmoded game, that is by consuming a book with keyword "VendorItemSpellTome". If spell is learned in different way than unmoded Skyrim than it will not be affected by this mod. How to use custom sounds?
Spoiler:
Show
If you are not satisfied with sound effects from base game, you use whatever sounds you want. In folder Sound/FX, replace empty .vaw files with ones you want to use (must be named exatly as replaced one) and in game select [Custom sound] form MCM menu. Can hidden conditions be disabled?
Spoiler:
Show
No. These block reading and learning when in combat, swimming, trespassing, jumping or falling, to prevent reading animation and time passing in inappropriate situation (e.g. You jump off the cliff and before you land to your death you read a spell book which start animation midair). Exact percentage values?
Spoiler:
Show
I think it is better for immersion to do not know exact numbers, but in debug tab of MCM menu is button "Current odds" that shows you percentage value for chance/progress learning method, ingame time needed to read a book and chance that it will be destroyed. This tool shows only odds for features that are enabled and for your current status (amount of Magicka, current Skill...). When does reading exhaustion wear off?
Spoiler:

Since this uses ingame time rather then real time I couldn't find a good way to show exact duration/interval when max Magicka will be restored. With default setting it restores part of reduced Magicka (50% of unmodified Magicka, if this is set to 0% restores all) every ingame hour until all reduced magicka is restored. To see exact time of expiration in debug tab of MCM menu use button "Exhaustion". Usable with Enderal?

Yes, I did in fact create this mod in Enderal workplace but made it compatible with Skyrim as well. If launched with Enderal mod is switched to Enderal version. Difference is that instead of words Magicka and Perk for Skyrim, Enderal uses Mana and Memory. Also by default "A Forgotten Place" (place where you spend your Perk/Memory points) is put in Forbidden place list (place where you can't read spell books), but it can be easily removed. Does mod uses scripts?
Spoiler:
Show
Yes and it requires SKSE advanced scripts to work. When learning, script runs when Inventory/Favorite menu is opened and book with keyword is destroyed. When max Magicka is reduced from reading exhaustion it runs when ingame time passes until all Magicka is restored. Lastly if un-learning feature is enabled it does run when Inventory/Favorite menu is opened and book of known spell is used. Is it safe to uninstall?

Like all mods it is not recommended to unistall mod once installed. There is option to disable the mod, but if you still want to remove it completely, I recommend to disable mod first, then stop MCM quest with console command stopquest st_mcmquest, create clean save and use savegame cleaner to remove unwanted MCM scripts. How it work with custom perks?
Spoiler:
Show
This mod uses SKSE function Spell.GetPerk(), which returns the perk associated with the spell.
Unfortunately this Casting Perk is used only by CK condition function SpellHasCastingPerk. If other mod uses new perks + does not change perks in Casting Perk of Spell window + no longer use old perks that are still associated with spell => all calculatin will be done as if player doesn't have perk.
Mod can work perfectly fine and you just don't get bonus for having that custom perk. Only downsite to it is that perk condition if enabled won't let you teach a spell. Such case is for Ordinator or Enderal (thanks for users for letting me know).
Solution: a) change casting perk for every spell in such mod which is time-consuming, or b) add perks associated to spells to player in mod that doesn't use them anymore
Using second method I created addon to be used with Ordinator.
Some spells are not learned by reading the book. The animation plays and a message appears saying that you have learned them, but the book disappears and they are not learned. The spells that I had trouble with were Darenii and Kittytail's spells.
This is an extremely impressive mod that deserves a hell of a lot more airtime! Would you consider releasing a small patch for Adamant perks (as you have done for Vokrii and Ordinator).
quick qns. I am trying to learn a spell and they say I already know the spell and at the end I get mental exhaustion and did not learn the spell and there is a # at the end of the spell book's name? What am I doing wrong.
I successfully learned a novice spell but some other spells that are higher level happened like that

Whenever I have a spell book and 'use' it nothing happens.
I'm using Adamant as my perk overhaul. Would that be conflicting or preventing the mod from occurring?
For now I'm just going to leave that option turn off.
Has anyone else had any issues like that or know what's causing it?

Is it save to compact this myself?
Great for role-play purpose.
Endorsed.
Truly a superb Mod.
