Is it because the entire blade isn't wavy? The For Honor wiki said this thing was a flamberge so I just went with that. Glad you think it's cool though.
Yeah, flamberge literally translates to flame-blade, and real historical ones had the wavy undulating blade. It's not your fault, it's whoever incorrectly named it that.
firstly before i say this and give links to the actual weapons, almost no sword on nexus is a real sword of any kind, most get the shape right than get the size and weight totally wrong most are 8-15 lbs overweight and a foot or two too long. so nearly none of the swords are authentic in any way, so calling this sword something it isn't, isn't really that big of a deal because few here know what a sword actually looks like, feels like and works like. (lots of edits thanks to auto correct screwing with me)
Thank you. Someone else who actually calls it a Flammenschwert. To clarify, I'm refering to comment that links the historical German Zweihander, not the clamshell crossguard longsword.
