Out of curiosity, can this method also be used to collect the Pages for the Saint Jiub? If so, how difficult would it be to make this for that as well? There would have to be a a disclaimer to only use it when the quest is given.
"Stones of Barenziah Quest Markers." ; ) That's the mod I used... now I just don't pick them up anymore... no real reward for getting them all as I recall.
I did use that mod, but it was still annoyingly tedious to have to 'track' them down, especially since some of them requires you to join a faction, like the College of Winterhold, even if you don't want/plan on for a given playthrough. Or the one in The Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary, that requires you to either join them or destroy them (your choice), but either way means you have to initiate the quest to do so.
And the reward you get for completing the quest No Stone Unturned is a hidden passive that makes it so you find more gems and valuables in your travels. Kinda trivial, at least/especially if you end up going through the hassle of tracking down all 24 stones, but still noticeable when you switch over to a different character (or start a new game) where you don't have it. Plus, I also believe you get a pretty alright monetary reward for completing it as well.
With this mod I can remove "Stones of Barenziah Quest Markers" from the load list forever. Fewer redundant esp plugins means more space for new mods. I prefer to not use the setstage command as it completely ruins the experience for me.
Q. What if I already have like fourth of them? Safe to do "bat Stones"? A. Yeah, it is. Gets all the stones and didn't even need that "crouch to be hidden" trick. Q. What if I'll replace each "bat activate" with "activate player" in Stones file? A. Has no effect on "mod"s efficiency, because then it does nothing..
Exactly, my good sir. I actually 'settled' at first for the trying to do the "activate player" in the bat file, but it didn't work, then I decided to give it a shot and just put a bat file in that just does that, while having the first one run that every time, which, turned out to work, which is/was wonderful.
Thanks for the this. Very useful. I have a question though, re what exactly should I type once I opened the console. Let's say I want the first stone on the list, should I type

Sorry if the question sounds too dumb.
