Regarding an All in one file There’s no plans at the moment for a merged all in one file. With the exception of The Blue Palace and The College of Winterhold all of the interior files are ESL flagged so don't count towards your mod limit. Being modular, you can pick and choose the interiors as you like.
Please understand that the additional workload involved would most likely kill off this series. Any patches, updates, bugfixes would need to be redone.
So please enjoy the flexibility of modular files to pick and choose what you want and any compatibility patches Janquel makes. If you want an AIO you can merge them all yourself, there’s good tutorials on Youtube about how to do it, I recommend the one made by GamerPoets, but please be aware that you won't even gain an esp slot in the process.
We understand that VR doesn't have the benefit of ESL support, but that none of us have headsets to test with so we can't officially support VR. So unfortunately, end user merging will be necessary in that case. I hope this information helps.
Hi, I really love your work but I dislike two little things that keep me from using the mod (I am picky, I know):
1. the stone weapons at the throne; it gives off a Game of Thrones kind of vibe, which I don't like 2. the Imperial banners after a imperial victory; the blue banners really complete the look of the palace and removing them kinda ruins it. Also, those are not specifically Stormcloak banners but Windhelm banners, so it would actually make sense to leave them even after an Imperial victory.
Is there a way to disable thses changes. I am not really good with modding (anything that surpasses leveled list and NPC changes is too much for me) so you would have to explain to me how to do it if I would have to make those changes in SEedit myself.
You made a player bed for your Castle Dour mod, and another one if you become legate. If I join the Stormcloaks, is there here a player bed too in this mod ?
I'm having an issue with CTD when entering the Palace. Using Skyrim crash decoder it says this mod may be causing an issue relating to Galmar Stone-Fist. It states, Crash was likely caused by one of the following mods: Skyrim.esm -> unofficial skyrim special edition patch.esp Probably one of them accessing or clashing with this mod: "jk's palace of the kings.esp". The following record might have been involved in the crash: name: "galmar stone-fist" formid: 0x0001b133.
Ok, fixed by deleting referrences to Galmar in USSEP. (This has been annoying me for about 12 hours. Putting the fix to help anyone else with this error.)
Are you testing on a new save? You can coc windhelmorigin at the Bethesda logo to bypass your save and jump straight in the game. This will rule out if your problem is baked in your save.
I have a void like right-wing cellar for food storage, I only have this mod alone since Distinct Interiors doesn't touch Palace of Kings? Is it with ELFX???
ELFX doesn't alter the room marker there. Unless you use ELFX Enhancer / Hardcore (maybe ELFX Shadows, but I didn't test it). In this case you need a dedicated patch installed before you start a new game - room markers are persistent records and can't be modified on the existing save.
I have a slight issue, the throne for me is in the air towards the side of the palace near the door to the 'war room' where the table is with the map. I'm not sure if this is the mod causing it, but in case anybody did have any similar experiences, it'd be useful! I believe it also happens with Blue Palace where Elisif's throne is literally outside the map. If it's any help, I'm using Conquest of Skyrim as well as the PCE Patch for JK's Castle/Palace mods.

They work perfectly, i got some issue like u, the problem "in my case" was light Mods, for example "Lux , ELFX, etc" so, after install all my JK interiors , i uninstall Lux mod (in my case i use Lux for lights) and install again, but in this case i mark all patch for JK, try that and probably will fix ur problems, i remember in this palace i dont see the roof xDD, in other interios i dont see doors, or missing objects, LUX cause that problem but Lux have a tons of Path for this incredible interiors, now work perfectly =)
I don't know how this is happening but siding with the legion and fighting Ulfric in the Civil War questline always ends with General Tulius and Legate Rikke entering the barracks and stopping in the far most jail cell instead of leaving through the front door. This causes the quest to get stuck and I have to use console commands to fix it. I have patches installed for USSEP, Cloaks, OCS, Windhelm Outskirts, and the Second Great War. Is there also one for AIO and I just missed it or do I need something else?
Everything else about this mod works perfectly apart from that one problem with the vanilla civil war questline.
It could be a couple of things and I think the most likely is that the main door is not connected to the navmesh. It's not something you would notice in normal game play as it's rare for any NPC to leave an interior cell unless scripted to do so. Your follower is an exception and they will simply teleport with you through the door. You'll need to do some digging in SSEEdit to see what is overwriting your navmesh / door.
Oh, just had a thought for a simple test. Inside the Palace tell your follower to leave and see if they exit through the door.
Trying to troubleshoot an issue that I can’t seem to figure out, and I have no idea what caused/is causing it.
My lighting system works very strangely in this interior and it appears to be the only JK interior that suffers from this. In a nutshell, the lighting appears very bright, almost like vanilla lighting or more than that - then when going to certain areas such as the kitchen or the area above the kitchen the light dims to an almost complete darkness except for the various light sources (sconces, candles, etc).
I use ELFX Enhanced, and am using the patch provided for it in the JK interiors FOMOD. Also using TML but that shouldn’t be touching the interior I would think.
I'm having the same issue, except I'm using LUX. It's bright like daytime inside the Palace. Almost as if there is just one big, very bright vanilla light, illuminating the whole space.
Going to try reinstalling lux and see if that makes any difference.
I am asking if he had an update to the problem he was having and determined the issue causing it. I recorded this short clip to show what is happening in my game rather than trying to explain.
litlesmall, what's happening in your game is how ELFX Enhancer works - it changes the lighting template and image space for this part of the castle. There's nothing wrong there, it's the feature of your lighting mod choice.
I have an issue with the firepit (HHfirepit.nif and for instance base form id : FE0AE978//ref form id : FE0AE979) : Since the mesh is HH for High Hrothgar, it also uses the texture from this area. I therefore have a mix between skyland texture and mrf windhelm. The mix does not go well together... :(
From more informative console, everything is referenced by JK palace of the kings.
EDIT : I can see that the esp changes the texture to use WHtrimstone and WHblocktrimcaps but I have no conflict. Why would the texture not be used in this case ?
EDIT 2 : found the culprit : LUX adds a nif and takes priority.

I have all the main palace mods installed, and they are ALL messed. Broken textures, things floating, etc.
And no, I don't have any other mods that altering these cells, so there should be no compatibility problems.
