Added an handy FOMOD installer which includes 2k and 4k versions. Improved some texture detail, especially the teeth. Thanks to johnskyrim for highlighting this important detail
I'm a big fan of your mods. Especially when it comes to you improving or replacing skyrim's meshes with higher poly and simply better-looking models all around. I really appreciate the work you and other authors on nexus do on this particular aspect of modding skyrim. So many flat and sharp-edged and just plain ugly models in vanilla.
I'm contacting you today though because I would like to request your permission to utilize some of your mods in a merge I've been putting together for xbox players like myself. For what it's worth, the merge already exists and is called The Shape of Things. It's focused on replacing Skyrim's low-poly and 2d models with better versions from dozens of authors/creators on nexus. Here is a link to the bundle on bethesda.net as it is now: https://creations.bethesda.net/en/skyrim/details/e4c2ae68-a4be-43bc-a651-a4c83967c662/The_Shape_of_Things
I am currently in the process of rebuilding/updating this merge from scratch and would like to include these specific mods of yours in the new version:
FIXED Highpoly Nordic Metal Grate Hall of the Dead Stained Glass Windows Alchemy Table Carriages Hagraven Clutter and Bones Signs Shack Doors and Windows
I would have simply sent you a DM here on nexus but bethesda.net rules now require any permissions requests/responses be somewhere that is publically viewable, such as nexus comments sections.
Would it be alright with you if I included these mods' assets in the bundle I mentioned on bethesda.net for xbox? You would, of course, be credited as the author of these mods, and links would be provided in the description on bethesda.net.
Anyway, thank you for your time and have a good day. ;)
The textures on these bones are really nice, probably some of the best on here. Props if those are not from a site. That being said, the specular is a little too high, the moose horns are very inaccurate and one thing everybody seems to miss is the teeth! (always left blurry and without definition)
thanks alot you made me great compliment and yes, I should make teeth more detailed with the next update. About the specular, many of these pictures are taken during rainy weather that's why they look so "shiny". And yes, you have a good eye, they are hand made :)
?I found this thing missing its textures or something like that. The problem goes away when I uninstall this mod. Only object affected by this is this one in front of Deepwood Redoubt. Every other one of these I've seen have been ok.
Other than that everything looks just gorgeous. Superb.
Say we finally found the mesh thats appearing grey in the game files, how do we remove the parallax flag? I've been struggling with this issue, I've been farting around with adding parallax and I keep running into grey things, like a dead mammoth, or the hagraven blood bowl, but just the sticks below it, or the spriggan head on a post.
Edit: I fixed this grey texture problem by removing thee alpha property on that part of the mesh, I believe it was conflicting with projected diffuse snow from Seasons of Skyrim or BDS. It ws a really easy fix in NifSkope (and I barely know the program), and it looks great!
Small critique: Just my opinion, but I think (based on the screenshots) the deer and troll skulls are too shiny/wet/slimy (not sure what to call it exactly).
I don't think the rain matters, does it? As far as I'm aware, objects don't get wet from rain in Skyrim. You need a mod like R.A.S.S. for the characters to get wet from rain.
Edit: Ok turns out objects do get wet from rain only if they have specular maps and you're using an ENB.
So without an ENB, the bones would look dry all the time right?
