So if I just wanted to use an animation from this mod for non armed bash and power bash animations, how would I go about it? Is it possible?
The issue I am trying to address is that using any mod that allows blocking with bare hands(Such as a dual wield blocking mod), allows bashes and power bashes but plays armed animations by default. I'd like to fix that, so that bare hands bashing and power bashing can be a kick for example, from this or any other bare hands animation mod.
Thanks for these, decided to do a Captain America style playthrough thanks to these and the Throwable Items mod which actually lets you throw the shield and have it come back. Surprisingly fun!
The shield bash animations seem EXTREMELY fast but that might just be because it's playing a full animation in a very short window of time, might need to get rid of that one.
Also what exactly are the conditions behind the different animations? It seems like it almost always plays the leg sweep one.
This is my absolute favorite mod now!! My whole gameplay has evolved into shield/unarmed combat. Draugrs, dragons, trolls IDGAF shield bashes and kicks all day. Love your work <3
Yes and no. As you can see in the picture the shield is thrown, but the animation duration and the angle of which you are going to trigger the animation (eg from behind your character), you probably won't notice it. Besides it doesn't do anything due to Skyrim's limitations.
Yes it is! Make sure to download the misc file Shield animations NOT UNARMED Knee kick included (the knee kick obviously won't work with SkySa, but the shield idles and bashes will).
I love this idea. I started playing an unarmed character almost solely due to your other animation mod for unarmed attacks, and this is even better because I love shields.
If I am using a mod that adds hand weapons that use unarmed animations (namely the Pugilist mod), do I need to use the "not unarmed" version of this to get the new animations?
And if so, does that mean I will miss out on the knee attack?
You will need to change the conditions.txt's to not refer to the IsEquippedRightType(0), which is unarmed, but rather the weapon you will be using. Check with animations that are supposed to work with Animated armory to get the idea on how you should write the lines.
Edit : looked at Pugilist mod (and hand to hand) and it doesn't say anything about hand weapons. So it should work right out of the box.
If you re looking at something like this though, you will probably need to take the step mentioned above.
Hmmm. It may not mention them specifically, but HandToHand/Pugilist does add hand weapons. This is what one looks like in xEdit (apologies for the screenshot, couldn't figure out a way to export the data as text).

Tried looking for one but had no luck. I think the Youtuber Tyrannicon used one but that must have been for Skyrim LE.
If anyone knows where I can find one for Skyrim SE I would greatly appreciate it.
