About this mod

A simple mod to add a powerful staff as a reward for defeating Naaslaarum and Voslaarum (the Forgotten Vale frozen lake dragon battle). You can loot the staff, Resplendent Sublimation, from Voslaarum's corpse. I imagine it got there from him devouring some epic mage..

Ever battled those two dragons at the frozen lake and felt like you didnt get any good rewards for it? So have we all..

I remember my first time coming across that battle and how hard it was, just an epic skyrim moment, one of the greatest for sure. This mod will add a very powerful staff as a reward for defeating them. Some will say its too powerful, perhaps the most powerful weapon in your game. But we could use more staves that are actually worth using.

I gave the staff a high melee damage too, since I use CGO. I highly recommend, so you can swap between melee and magic:

Full Details:
The Staff does 1113 base damage (classified as irresistible shock damage, because it uses the chain lightning spreading effect.)
Additionally, the staff casts Soul Trap, and it will also leech 75 points of health from the next target you hit, if your own health falls below 35%
Most players will use something to heal when their health gets that low anyways, maybe even before it gets that low, so adding a small heal on-hit seems fine. It actually makes firing the staff feel more engaging, especially the last few shots of a battle when your health is low. Will you risk it and go for the on-hit heal, you might still die if you miss and get hit again yourself.
The idea behind this staff, is Resplendent Sublimation. Resplendent = beautiful, shining. Sublimation = a chemical process, changing solid matter into gas instantaneously.
Thus the staff is meant to be a one hit kill, reducing anything it hits to ash. For this reason, I mainly designed the staff to use in big battles, like the civil war, and any mods that increase npc's in various battles. The chaining hit effect can only hit so many at once, that are so close to eachother, so you will still have to fight it out to a degree.
The staff has 9999 enchantment charge, and only costs 18 charge per fire. It will be a long while before you have to recharge it. Roughly 555 shots.

Tip:
I listened to this song on repeat the entire time I was making this staff

Disclaimer: This mod hasn't yet been fully tested.
Meaning I haven't fully played through the Dawnguard questline to obtain it organically. But spawning the dragon through the console, it seems to be working fine, so I assume the staff will be there on an actual playthrough.
*Will update if someone tests it and lets me know in comments/messages, or if I get through the questline myself.*

Notes:
I am not sure how this may or may not work out if you've already started that questline, probably best to start fresh? I'm honestly not sure on that, I'm pretty new to making my own mods. (this is only my second)
The staff uses the vanilla Staff of Magnus model and texture, if you have anything that edits its look, this mod should benefit from it.. I think..
