I never had any version of this mod pre 2.0 and after installing this mod and enabling it (did not use the sound mod), the step dodge does not work.
I am using a gamepad if it matters.
I did not test the roll dodge since I have zero interest in those but when I have a character locked on, the side directional dodges seem to work and the front dodge works but the back dodge never does. When I try to do a backwards step dodge, my character will turn itself around instantly in a snap-like motion and then do the backwards step dodge... but since my character is now facing away from the target I'm locked on to, it step dodges towards the enemy...
Edit: After further testing, the only dodge that seems to work 100% of the time is the forward step/roll dodge. I tested both types in all directions with and without the lock on. When not locked on, the dodge is unidirectional. The animation will play and your character will just move in whatever direction your input tells it to, even mid-animation.
However, when the target is locked on, the side rolls/steps always start in a backwards roll/step and then seem to randomly decide to actually go to the side or back. The same is true for the back rolls/steps but it always rolls/steps forward and then randomly forward or backwards.
Well then please put that in your mod description that this won't work for a huge number of people.
TDM was made to support gamepads and so was TK Dodge, so to make a patch that ignores gamepad users by not supporting them and without even saying so is basically an incomplete patch.
I agree with DarkVipe680 that the fact that this mod isn't compatible with gamepads really should be included in the mod description or at least in a stickied comment. Because gamepad users really shouldn't have to search through the comments just to find out why they can't get the mod to work when they could just be warned beforehand.
I'm glad you pointed this out because I almost downloaded it and TDM ..... I'm was already hestitant to install TDM in the middle of a stable playthrough but if I can't get TK Dodge to work with it with a gamepad then I guess I'll just skip it for now until it matures a bit
For the reason why it says "I don't know if anyone still needs this mod, but in the latest version of TDM, this mod is not needed. Do not use any more.", please check here -> TK Dodge NG:
TK Dodge RE - Script Free is "Incompatible with TK Dodge SE - TDM custom compatible patch. This patch is redundant for TK Dodge RE."
I really thank you for your quick response. Could you tell me exactly how you installed this patch? Do I need to delete TK Dodge SE core files? And if so, how then to install this patch? I patched "TK Dodge" into NEMESIS Are Dynamic Animation Replacers Really Necessary? and Animation Motion Revolution Well, the most important question - in the video I see how he can perform a somersault in any direction, I am interested precisely in the somersault being IN ACCORDANCE with the MOVEMENT ON the TDM.
Now it looks like this: (using TDM) I press twice for example "D", and he turns to the right, and also rolls to the right. Thus, the somersault does not occur where the character is looking, but only according to the keyboard An even simpler example is when walking in the direction of the "S" button (direction TDM), the somersault is performed BACKWARD and not forward
Jesus, I hope I explain clearly, taking into account Google translator.
No problem, I also use Google Translator to help me. ;-) I use Animation Revolution and Open Animation Replacer (as a replacer for Dynamic Animation Replacer) as they are required, Nemesis, True Directional Movement, TK Dodge and the patch. No need to delete any files, just install these mods.
yo idk if you ever figured this out but i just did. im playing on SE 1.5.97, I spent like 2 hours downloading different versions of each mod. I finally got it to work with the SE version of TK dodge and the 1.1 version of the compatibility patch. Not 2.0.
I don't know why the mod author says that this mod is outdated, It is still very much needed to roll in the proper direction, otherwise my characters just rolls forward. Oh, and FIY, It doesn't work with the most recent version of OAR for some reason.
The dodge goes to where my character is looking and not my camera... For example both A+dodge / D+dodge goes backward while both W+dodge / S+dodge go forward. I'm playing in the latest version with a mouse & keyboard.
Unfortunately, I think the only solution is as in the True Directional Movement page say, you should use not use TK Dodge SE, but The Ultimate Dodge Mod
been that way for so many years. it's pathetic. try to dodge away from a group of enemies only to roll headfirst into them over and over again. UNPLAYABLE. if the dodge didn't change with lock on, it would be FINE.
Love all your mods but i dont understand the point of this mod. They work together just fine without this patch for me and have been for years. Is it just to free up 1 esp slot? Interesting
This mod doesn't save any of the configurations in my SkyUI, every time I load the game I have to change the dodge key-bind. It gets pretty tedious if you're main game is Skyrim at the moment... lol. Hoping for a patch, a fix, or something of that nature. If there is already a fix for this, would anyone mind letting me know? Thank you in advance.

- Now fully supports both step and roll dodges with and without lock-on.
- Compatible with Sound For TK Dodge SE mod.
(However, you must use the main file, not the "For True Directional Movement" options file in the Sound For TK Dodge SE mod.)
- Install the old version after completely uninstalling it.
Is the old version with the ESP no longer needed with 2.0? Or is 2.0 installed on top of the old version?

I can't make gamepad compatibility because I don't have gamepad.

使用TK Dodge时遇到问题时,建议安装 TK Dodge NG 而不是这个补丁。
And I don't activate the lateral dodge option in MCM menu of TK Dodge.
Do I need to delete TK Dodge SE core files?
And if so, how then to install this patch?
I patched "TK Dodge" into NEMESIS
Are Dynamic Animation Replacers Really Necessary?
and Animation Motion Revolution

edit: nvm lol

if the dodge didn't change with lock on, it would be FINE.
But you can't dodge sideways, and you can only dodge in the direction you're facing.
Unless you don't have true directional movement
