Okay I was able to fix the issue by deleting everything that Nemesis outputs, including the temporary behavior folder and Cache (basically, the Nemesis folder in MO2 Overwrite) and ran the patcher again.
Seconding Keitond's request, using Vortex so what do I delete? The same basic issue otherwise: Nemesis won't run with the patches, but without them the mod doesn't work (character surfs on top of the paraglider for a few seconds - which is kinda cool - but then crashes to his death). The game as such, however, works even without the patches, I just can't actually use the paraglide.
EDIT: I should perhaps add that I just realised I had not in fact loaded paraglider last in Nemesis, so maybe that is part of the issue? EDIT 2: Nope, that wasn't the issue. Also tried a complete removal and new installation - rather than just a re-install - of the paraglider mod. Same issue. Might it have to do with using Vortex? Or is there a particular load order that matters in Nemesis beyond just "load paraglider last"?
When I don't load CGO and MBO in Nemesis, and don't use the patches, the mod works fine and is very much awesome, btw!
A step by step would be appreciated for deleting folders and getting that clean foundation to make sure this mod works. My situation is ctd on loading screen with this mod active, loaded last in nemesis etc. I also use vortex.
I'm having the same issue. I saw this mod doesn't overwrite any file from MBO and patching CGO would CTD my game. Cleared my Nemesis folder and everything. Then, I decided to off CGO and MBO. After all those two can wait for other day. This mod rock!
For some what reason couldn't get nemesis to work with MBO even after trying the compatibility patches & fixes, nemesis would crash halfway, probably down to some other mod conflict tbh, none the less got rid of MBO and it works like a f***in charm. I gotta say such an absolute bliss of a mod man, this game jus got lit up with fun, u are a truly a godsend my guy! Endorsed & patroned
LokiWasTaken I see some people, including myself having CTD problems with CGO/MBO even after installing the mod as you indicate. The mod works fine without these mods. Will this get fixed in the future? Is there any info we can give to help you? Same issue for me with CGO patch CTDs. Game crashes on loading a save or creating a new game.
EDIT: Just to confirm that removing CGO from my load order and reinstalling this mod, and creating a fresh Nemesis output solves this issue. Also I was having problems caused by CGO's USSEP patch so the problem may not be this mod at all.
Anyone else die upon landing? The moment my character hits the ground with the glider active he just dies. However if I release it just before touching the ground, its fine. I have the Glider loaded Last on Nemesis and MBO and JBO installed with the correct mod patches. Can anyone help me out here?
EDIT: Also realized that there were two Fred's that fell when quest started. There are also a few double items once I get to the platform (i.e. double gliders, double spell book, double chests, double basket, etc)
FINAL EDIT: Everything works for me. I think my issue was When I threw the "Paraglider Esp" into my "Miscellaneous Merge" I did not realize the "Paraglider Esp was still active, once I rebuilt the merge and saw it was turned off in the plugins section, everything was fine. I did all the steps required, Load last in Nemesis, Also deleted the "Temp Behaviors" folder in Nemesis, added required patches (I have MBO and JBO). Everything works fine now. Hopefully thins can help anyone that was in my situation.
My game was freezing on the loading screen using this mod, CGO, and JBO with CGO patch. Uninstalling JBO solved my problems. I did not need to delete any Nemesis folder. I leave this in case is useful for someone. My guess is there is conflict between Paraglider and the CGO patch of JBO.
Huge thanx to erreroninja, for clarifying which folder to delete. After doing so, Nemesis no longer reported an issue and I was able to start it with both CGO and MBO ticked and the associated patches installed. However, the in game bug is still the same, with the surfing on top of the glider and subsequent crashing, so this did not resolve the issue for me at least. Not ticking CGO or MBO in Nemesis lets this mod work great, so I'm having some fun gliding around - just wish it could work with those movement mods!
mine works in game but the procedural leaning makes it so my characters hands dont stay on the glider is it possible to get a patch for this ? its not that big of a deal but it looks ugly lol edit: i am stupid i didnt see the patch great mod btw i wish i could endorse it twice you got me to reinstall se
Same issues, can't use this and MBO at the same time because it causes an error for MBO in nemesis. Doesn't mater if it's built from scratch and it's priority in the patcher.
Video is great and all but during that install MBO was not installed in that loadorder. Hench Nemesis runs fine. Ticking a box without the mod installed doesn't do anything thus no errors.
@Jennievm if you look at how they have their MO2 filtered, you'll see they have "para" typed in so the only mod that'll show is the paraglider mod. They might not have wanted their mod list shown in the video or maybe they wanted to make it simple and clear that the mod was installed and active, so they may of had MBO installed and we just can't see that it is. Just pointing out that they have it filtered so it can't be said if they did or didn't have MBO installed.
@LokiWasTaken This mod would be a dream come true except for one abominable thing: Nemesis, specifically Nemesis not able to be installed alongside fnis. Seriously do the makers of that mod even know how many mods require FNIS?!!! There is no way I can get rid of FNIS and install this nemesis shit. By not making it compatible with FNIS, it's PoS devs have ensured that I and literally thousands of other players will not be able to enjoy this mod. PLEASE, if you can't make this mode use fnis then at LEAST, for the LOVE OF GOD AND MONEY pester the nemesis makers to make nemesis and fnis able to be both installed. I BEG OF YOU!!!!!!!! There is NO EXCUSE for nemesis and fnis to not be able to coexist. NO EXCUSE. With so many essential mods requiring fnis it is absolutely CRIMINAL that the nemesis makers did not make it so they could coexist, and if somehow they couldn't then they shouldn't have released nemesis at all. I mean it's literally no different than if it couldn't work with Skyrim Script Extender installed, thats how essential fnis is. Honestly Im surprised anyone has even tried to use nemesis and hence this mod as they would have to sacrifice literally every character, animation, skeleton, etc modifying mod in existence! Basically Skyrim on the switch with this mod added is basically what it would be. And that is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. I have the same issue, nothing helps. Paraglider is lowest in Nemesis, tried to delete temp_behaviors, didn't help it shows "ERROR(1166): BUG FOUND!! Report to Nemesis' author immediatelyVariable Name: bNotParagliding". Watched the installation video it didn't help as far as i am not using MO2

Considering how I'm running FNIS perfectly fine with nemesis, it seems Isodiadect doesn't know that loading nemesis after FNIS ends up causing Nemesis to treat FNIS like it's a mod, implementing the behaviors sent through FNIS to Nemesis. I think i completely failed to find the right wording, but you can see if you run nemesis after running FNIS (both in your load order and in the chronological order that you run the exe's (for me through mo2)), Nemesis actually recognizes and loads "FNIS base" with the rest of the behavior addons. Note: I only run humanoid behaviors through Nemesis and let FNIS take care of fnis required mods and creature behaviors, EXCEPT for xp32 which, iirc, I run through both FNIS and then Nemesis.
Though im personally having the 1026 error issue too so it doesnt fix that issue sadly, its why im here actually lol. I will say that ive had this issue before and just deactivating mbo will 'fix' it, since the issue doesnt present itself anymore, though at the expense of losing mbo
At least, this is based on my limited but growing knowledge of skyrim modding. I might be wrong about how it's working but it certainly works for me to run fnis and then nemesis together (and i have both at the end of load order right above xp32).
Well to be fair, he actually said that "the makers of nemesis are pos devs for not making nemesis compatible with finis". They didn't say that you or Nick were for not making your paraglider mod compatible with finis. Doesn't really excuse his tone though, tis a bit of an exaggeration.
I can confirm installing Paraglider without the MBO patch allows nemesis to generate behavior successfully.

Yeah idk, tried several different combinations with several mods that touch jumping, but when MBO is ticked in Nemesis and the compatibility patch is installed, Nemesis always throws error 1166. Maybe it's a DAR incompatibility, gonna disable mods and see

I was getting Nemesis crashes as well. Moved Paraglider to the bottom of the Nemesis load order and crashed again. But after restarting Nemesis it worked.
Dude I don't even have MBO or CGO installed and nemesis keeps giving me a 1166 error. I have JBO that could be a problem but I'm not about to delete that. If anyone could make this mod more compatible with stuff maybe a redux version that would be great.
After reading through a bunch of the comments, was finally able to fix the Nemisis error code! Only problem- When I go through Falkreath's East gate and come to the crossroads, there's no Fred, no broken paraglider...it's like the mod wasn't triggered. Tried on a clean save too...anyone know of a fix?
FOR THOSE USING VORTEX!!!!! You should delete the folder called temp_behaviors located in: Skyrim Special Edition\Data\Nemesis_Engine
This worked for me. I have run the mod without issue on 2 previous installs, one on vortex, the other on MO2. For some reason the paraglider was not activating on my latest install. Following your advice, then dropping and picking up the paraglider, solved the issue. (Dropping and picking it up prior to deleting the folder, did nothing for me).

hello, anyone experiencing ctd when loading a save after installing the mod? installed all the requirements and do all the steps required. the nemesis patching worked fine. I think its conflicting with something in my load order but i cant find it, was hoping if anyone is in a similar situation and found a solution, thanks.
EDIT: so i manage to load my game if i unticked the CGO compatiblity patch when installing the mod, I used CGO, ABR, better jumping and Jump overhaul if its relevant, i dont use MBO.

Sadly, this solution did not work for me, still getting CTD on loading, using CGO patch, I'm able to load if not using the patch, but gliding does not work.

I have Jump Behaviour Overhaul and Combat Gameplay Overhaul. - When CGO compatibility patch is installed, game crash after load saves. - Without patch save is load normally but paraglider don't work. - Without CGO or JBO mod paraglider works normally. I tried to change load order in Nemesis. Tried to install previous version. All this can't helped me. Looks like Jump Behaviour Overhaul + Combat Gameplay Overhaul + Paraglider mods don't wan't work together.
hey, i managed to solve the ctd, or at least on my game. I move the jump behaviour overhaul (i used MO2) on the left window below paraglider. Doing this would solve the ctd for some reason, but the gliding wont work, to fix this I reinstall JBO then unticking the cgo compatibility and then do the usual nemesis steps ( paraglider lowest priority in nemesis, delete nemesis folder in overwrite in M02 etc ). Idk why this works tbh, i'm no modder. Hope this helps someone. I finally can glide in tamriel so awesome.
AMAZING FINDING! This should be stickied, I did what cyrus44 recommended and it worked like a charm, no more CTDs upon loading. About the mod I can only say that this is a must have for everyone.
I can vouch for cyrus44's solution, I finally got it working! I'm using CGO, ABR and JBO. I also had MBO, but I couldn't get Paraglider working no matter how I setup MBO. So I took out MBO and I'm not missing it. I can finally glide through Skyrim, thank you Loki and thank you cyrus44!
Am I supposed to be able to equip it? Also, no matter what I do there is no check box in nemesis. If you're not going to maintain it so that it's usable why not just unlist the mod? One would assume that if everyone is having similar issues you'd at least fix it so that it's usable before you stop maintaining it
Can someone help? Everything installed the way it's supposed to, I have all the requirements and in-game. I have the spell, the glider itself and I'm at the platform, I jumped off, hit the activate key in the air and nothing happened. Don't know why it's not working.
I cannot for the life of me figure this mod out. I've reloaded nemesis 20 different times. It's worked once and since I downloaded the One Version it just stopped working. I see that when I load nemesis and tick the paraglider patch for it, for some reason TK Dodge instantly overwrites and I don't understand why. I've had both of them work just fine before. Sometimes Nemesis gets wonky. To rule out failure due to Nemesis wonkiness: 1. IMPORTANT: Open Nemesis and take make a note of everything that is ticked. 2. Locate your Nemesis Output folder and navigate to Nemesis_Engine>cache 3. Delete everything inside the cache folder. 4. Open Nemesis and re-tick everything that was previously ticked in the first step, including "Paraglider(NULL)". 5. Update and Launch. If it crashes before it's finished. Reopen Nemesis and do it again. 6. Once it finishes, close Nemesis, and see if you've now fixed the issue in game.
Testing on a new save, deploy the glider by pressing the designated activation key while not standing on the ground but in air. On PC, the default key bind on keyboard is "E".
If you are updating an old save game: 1. Load your current save, ditch your glider, save, and quit to desktop. 2. Untick all things paraglider in your mod organizers load order. 3. Load your CURRENT save. Ignore warning (if any) about the missing mods. 4. Save game within an interior cell (Indoors) and quit to desktop. 5. Not sure what the issue is, no matter what I do, I get fall damage and usually die if I try to paraglide down more than 10 feet. And no, I'm not a vampire or werewolf. Its fine when I use Tamriels galewith it to climb things, but it'd be nice to be able to actually paraglide down without dying as well

If you are on the most recent version of SE go HERE and download the 1.6.1130 dll, find "steamapps/common/Skyrim Special Edition/Data/SKSE/Plugins", then drag and drop the .DLL into the Plugins folder and overwrite any files. This pretty much instantly fixed it for me, after a ton of trail and error ;)
It's not included in any tutorials and is only classed as a Anniversary Edition patch so don't blame yourselves, we have all been there once. Hope it works for you all though <3

I have MBO installed and have it checked in Nemesis.
I've also tried changing the Paraglider patch above and below MBO priority in the Nemesis patcher. It did not help.
Reinstalling this mod without the compatibility option bypasses the issue.

user misstake as I had a other overwrite with old engine stuff , after removing the other one it works no issue
Basically same stuff i had to completely delete the old paraglide generated stuff.
