The sounds in outdoors and the caves (haven't ventured into dungeons yet) are amazing, but I have noticed that burning embers/fires are really overpowered. I use Audio Overhaul and Immersive Sounds Compendium, have installed per your description, and have noticed the burning/crackling/roaring thing (like a giant bonfire). This is most noticeable in Rimerock Barrow and Leaf Rest (my favorite player home). Even after I turn down ALL of the other sound effects/enhancements it sounds like Leaf Rest is going to burn Riverwood to the ground. If I disable Reverb and Ambiance Overhaul UPDATED ESL v1.6.3 the issue disappears. Just thought you would want to know.Other than that, as someone who has done some crawling around in caves and abandoned buildings, this overhaul rocks!
My install order - Left Pane Mod Organizer: Reverb and Ambiance Overhaul + ELE Patch Audio Overhaul for Skyrim SE ** ** Immersive Sounds - Compendium
My load order - Right Pane Mod Organizer Audio Overhaul Skyrim.esp Reverb and Ambience Overhaul - Skyrim.esp Immersive Sounds - Compendium.esp AOS_ISC_Integration.esp ** ** ELE_SSE.esp ** ** RAO-ELE Patch SSE.esp
Now that all of that is out in the open I was able to resolve the issue by creating a rule in LOOT to load Audio Overhaul Skyrim.esp after Reverb and Ambience Overhaul - Skyrim.esp. Hope that helps anyone experiencing similar issues.
What is meant exactly by "100% compatible" with Sounds of Skyrim, when they both overwrite several of the same Acoustic Space, Impact, Cell, and Region records?
Does this mod fix the audio mixing levels in dwemer ruins? The original mod made dwemer dungeons completely unplayable. It was impossible to hear literally anything over the sounds of the machinery, or god forbid if there was a waterfall, because all you'd hear is the deafening sound of running water that sounds like listening to radio static at full blast.
Portable Music Player coming out means it's time to ask if RAO will apply to it and music. (Heck, we may need to import the music muting during convo option from Fallout 4)
It's not compatible with Npc Audio enhancer. :( I tried but it's not working. But I prefer to keep the realism of your mod than the voices of npc higher. A pity that there is no a patch.

LOOT put this mod under USSEP and USMP, is it ok?
Also, i'm playing with the latest USSEP 4.3.2, your mod needs an update right?
