I'm on the latest gog version and this mod just didn't work. I started up skyrim and still could not use the mouse even after I waited for a switch. The Fallout 4 switch works perfect on Fallout 4.
This mod almost works for me. For some reason, my mouse freaks out after I use a controller and just cycles between looking at the sky and the floor. I can't seem to use it after the controller has connected.
I would absolutely love to use this mod, but I still haven't found a fix yet.
I have tested using two different controllers. I have tried disabling all other unnecessary mods.
When a controller is not plugged in, all pc controls and menus function normally. When a controller is connected, the UI would always be in controller mode and my mouse would not appear in menus. Attempting to look with the mouse caused irregular, jerky movement primarily making me look straight up and down. The keyboard worked fine when a controller was connected, it's just that the button prompts weren't changing and the mouse didn't work correctly.
I tried editing the primary input .ini file and it had no effect.
Hey... Also facing this issue too. Mouse goes absolutely HAYWIRE whilst controller is plugged in. Unplugging and keyboard seems to work fine. Let me know if you have any fix or updates.
Ok,this mod is very important to me ,so I delete all the mods and start to run this mod first, it's not working. But then I found using the wrong version. SE 1.5.97 ,choose Auto Input Switch (1.5.97). IT WORK AS A CHARM! hope this could help
I can confirm this issue. I spent today testing all my SKSE plugins on 1.6.1179 to see if I could migrate my main MO2 instance to the latest GOG version. Auto Input Switch works fine on 1.6.659, but when I was testing it on 1.6.1179, touching the mouse causes the camera to completely spaz out and the game tends to freeze shortly thereafter. The log file shows a critical error: Hooks.cpp(62): [critical] Failed to install QUsingGamepad hook
The mod seems to be functional as far as the keyboard and gamepad are concerned, since I could still use the gamepad and use keyboard shortcuts with the gamepad plugged in, but touching the mouse at all totally fucks the game up.
When you put iPreferredPlatform=1instead of -1 in the ini file, it fixes the mouse speed issue, and the keyboard works in menus. However the cursor is still invisible, and it adds a new, smaller issue : the game still think you're using a controller, showing controller command hints, which is fine, and you can"t reassign keyboard commands, which is less fine but manageable (plug out your controller, set your shortcuts, plug it back in. It's not like you need to change them often).
I miss being able to navigate inside SkyUI menus with the mouse cursor, but other than that it's still better than without the mod.
Same problem, got a reply from the mod author months ago that it isn't their mod causing it when it obviously is...issue doesn't happen with this mod disabled
Confirm wiht GOG too. Gamepad and KB works fine. Mouse will lock at the player's feet and be spinning if you try to move it. While in windows, e.g. inventory, no mouse at all. Hoping someone can fix/patch this sometimes a have a long list of items and scrolling with the gamepad is slow.
This was a fantastic mod. Made things so much better.
Unfortunately, the keyboard and mouse have gone funky for me.
I had a Windows update. And updated a few mods, added armor (which shouldn't affect anything AFAICT). And the keyboard inputs stopped working. All of them. And using the mouse, well, the screen freezes but sound effects continue as though everything's working fine. I move forward, I hear footsteps. No cursor.
It's maddening to have this exquisite fix brought down by whatever-it-is. Anybody else experience anything like this? I went through some comments and the bug reports. The former were mostly heaping well-deserved praise on the mod, and I didn't see any bug reports matching mine (I suspect the mod's not bugged but something else is interfering with keyboard operation while in-game).
Please see if you've recently done any changes to custom control maps, and controls file does in fact correspond to your skyrim version. I recently switched to AE 1.6.1170 and was pulling my hair out trying to figure out constant crashing. Turned out my lazy ass just copied my control maps for 1.5.97 over without thinking... I used this to make the new custom maps - https://hawk.bar/SkyrimControlMapper/
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks Skyrim with a mouse and keyboard feels a bit off. This mod is absolutely required if you prefer relaxing with a controller in hand and only reaching reaching for the keys to navigate SKY UI or MCM menus.

See Analog Keyboard Helper (for Wooting users).
Thanks
Main file - Special Edition 1.6.318+ means any version higher than 1.6.318 is compatiable

Still no fix as of august 25th though.
