I'll try this but it seems to me this mod isn't getting updated anymore and judging by the posts a lot of quest items are missing from the main quest and side quests most people do.
There are a lot of other mods on the nexus that do the same thing if you tried this mod and it's not working for you. Try searching "quest item" and there are several different approaches to this.
I like this mod and it has allowed me to get rid of a couple of Quest items but for some reason, it will not let me get rid of the two Elder Scrolls that I have after completing the Dawnguard main quest. I was able to sell the third Elder Scroll to the Librarian at Winterhold College but I am stuck with the Blood and the Sun Elder Scrolls. I am not sure why the mod is not working for these two items, but am still glad I installed it.
I have a mod that does this for items of quests in the base game, but I've been looking for a mod that makes it so that the game doesn't force the Black Books to stay in my inventory because they're quest items. I want to sell them. I'd like to know if this mod does that before downloading it.
How does this mod work? It would be nice to add some more information on the download page or something. Is there supposed to be an MCM to activate or deactivate this mod? Is there a hot key or something? Will this mod work mid play through. I installed and absolutely nothing happening I cant drop or transfer anything. Items still tagged as quest item and cant moved or drop them. I had no conflicts and loaded last.
And yes, I am aware you can sell the Elder Scroll to get rid of it, but I'd rather be able to stuff it in a chest indefinitely, and go grab it if/when needed, i.e. the sort of thing this mod is described as being intended to facilitate. :)

wSkeever has an innovative approach that just allows you to use an MCM menu and store the items in the MCM accessible container.
I prefer something more immersive like the Inventory Item Dropper by Dylbill. Just be careful what you drop and where lol.
