As per the mod page description, I will not be taking user requests for more custom markers.

If you are the author of a mod with a config included here and would like to instead include and control changes made in that config in your own mod, let me know, as this is actually my preferred system for CoMAP and would be happy to make it happen.

If you want to make your own config, you can find the new and improved CoMAP JSON Builder. Make a copy of the document for yourself and fill it in to make a config easily, documentation will follow in a few days.

After consideration, I have decided to uphold my intentions to not make variants or coloured version of the markers myself. I highly encourage others to give it a go, though.

    Available recolours of CoMAP:

    Nordic UI

For those of you using Nordic UI, I recommend using this mod for best integration alongside CoMAP.

By restoring the vanilla undiscovered markers using this mod, you can fully control hiding/showing undiscovered markers using CoMAP. Without it, the vanilla marker designs will always be obscured while undiscovered, regardless of your chosen setting.

    Beyond Skyrim's Map Markers

CoMAP is out of the box compatible with Beyond Skyrim: Bruma, Bruma even ships with its own marker file and configs. The extra configs offered here are for either adding CoMAP's extra markers, such as Cyrodiil style towns and settlements, or for those wishing to change the Beyond Skyrim designs back to the old CoMAP ones.

If using Bruma alongside any other UI mods (such as SkyHUD, Dear Diary, Nordic UI etc.) you will need to select "No Map Markers" from the installer for BSAssets and Bruma.

    IMPORTANT NOTE.

Version discourse will be ignored and periodically removed, this is not the place to have that

Only Skyrim Special Edition version 1.6.629 and later are supported moving forwards.

Link for version 3.4.2 for 1.5.97 exe so you don't have to resort to nexus archive voodoo to get it

I am going to hijack this because this is by far a preferable link to the old 3.4.2 for 1.5 than exists in the archive as it can just be loaded after v4 to revert the DLL only and access the markers allowing basic continued access to patchless extended marker types for Beyond Skyrim and other new lands mod markers for 1.5 users.

It is very important that I point out that this is not supported and anybody using this link will not be given any support on this page, use at your own risk. There will be missing features and I cannot guarantee that it will work in perpetuity.

As stated in the sticky above, absolutely no version discourse will be tolerated. This post has been locked because all previous attempts to share the older files have devolved into some form of unsavoury discussion.

after a few months away from modding, am updating my mod build; used to have CoMAP working with Compass Navigation Overhaul, Vibrant Map Markers, and Atlas Map Markers.  Now I don't see any map markers in the compass or on the map.  Might someone with better insight than me offer some suggestions?

edit 2: whoopsie daisy I forgot to update infinity UI the requirement for CNO. that must be the reason

Did some basic testing (using coc to teleport to various notable locations) after seeing that the update dropped and it seems effectively flawless from what I could tell. The only notable issue to report is that Karthspire was using the peak marker for some reason, so I don't know if that's a minor issue with the config or some sort of weird user-side issue on my end.

    From user @Enodoc

Hey everyone! I am pleased to report that I appear to have achieved full compatibility between Compass Navigation Overhaul and CoMAP.

    What you need:

Unfortunately I don't know how this solution will interact with other UI mods like Nordic, iHUD and TrueHUD (because I don't know what CNO 2.1.1 was supposed to fix), but rolling CNO back to 2.1.0 seems to have worked for me, and I currently use SkyUI, SkuHUD, Atlas, and BS Bruma.

Obviously when CoMAP is updated with the relevant update submitted by the CNO author, it should be fine to go back to CNO 2.1.1.

For SSE 1.5 users, the unofficial 1.5 patch also functions in place of the DLL Hotfix. Continue to use CNO 2.1.

So with this you can have the 4.0 update of CoMAP for 1.5.97?

Shoutout to Wayback Machine for providing the necessary file id.

Unofficial 1.5 patch indeed.  Hopefully someone has mercy on us with a link.

This is nice, but at the moment I am using this mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/38079) and I hate to lose the colorful part of it. Is there anyway these two mods could be integrated to get the benefits of both?

    Thanks.
