As per the mod page description, I will not be taking user requests for more custom markers.
If you are the author of a mod with a config included here and would like to instead include and control changes made in that config in your own mod, let me know, as this is actually my preferred system for CoMAP and would be happy to make it happen.
If you want to make your own config, you can find the new and improved CoMAP JSON Builder. Make a copy of the document for yourself and fill it in to make a config easily, documentation will follow in a few days.
After consideration, I have decided to uphold my intentions to not make variants or coloured version of the markers myself. I highly encourage others to give it a go, though.
For those of you using Nordic UI, I recommend using this mod for best integration alongside CoMAP.
By restoring the vanilla undiscovered markers using this mod, you can fully control hiding/showing undiscovered markers using CoMAP. Without it, the vanilla marker designs will always be obscured while undiscovered, regardless of your chosen setting.
CoMAP is out of the box compatible with Beyond Skyrim: Bruma, Bruma even ships with its own marker file and configs. The extra configs offered here are for either adding CoMAP's extra markers, such as Cyrodiil style towns and settlements, or for those wishing to change the Beyond Skyrim designs back to the old CoMAP ones.
If using Bruma alongside any other UI mods (such as SkyHUD, Dear Diary, Nordic UI etc.) you will need to select "No Map Markers" from the installer for BSAssets and Bruma.
Version discourse will be ignored and periodically removed, this is not the place to have that
CoMAP should function on Skyrim Special Edition versions 1.6.629 and later.
I can only actually support and troubleshoot on 1.6.1130+ as these are the versions I use and I only have limited time for modding. I will close any bugs raised against any versions before 1.6.1130 due to this, but for 1.6.629+, people are free to troubleshoot in the comments, just keep it respectful please, I have removed some comments that were unnecessarily rude.
I am going to hijack this because this is by far a preferable link to the old 3.4.2 for 1.5 than exists in the archive as it can just be loaded after v4 to revert the DLL only and access the markers allowing basic continued access to patchless extended marker types for Beyond Skyrim and other new lands mod markers for 1.5 users.
It is very important that I point out that this is not supported and anybody using this link will not be given any support on this page, use at your own risk. There will be missing features and I cannot guarantee that it will work in perpetuity.
As stated in the sticky above, absolutely no version discourse will be tolerated. This post has been locked because all previous attempts to share the older files have devolved into some form of unsavoury discussion.
I noticed you added a few for Creation club locations, was wondering if you'd please replace the Ayleid marker for Varlais Cavern (think I got it right) that you used for Beyond Bruma?
Also, just as a question, how do you get the Forsworn headdress icon? for some reason they're not showing up but instead as other icons, is it a separate mod, a change you did or something I've done wrong? Any help would be appreciated :)
Oh and absolutely love this mod, as an immersion geek, it gives the world a lot more character.
Are your forsworn camp markers displaying as coven icons? I have this issue too. Everything else seems to be working great except that one thing, on a brand new setup on the most recent Skyrim version. Still trying to figure it out and getting nowhere, didn't have this issue on my older CoMap version.
I deprecated them because I was not happy with them. You can bring them back by changing the json files assigning it if you prefer it. Find markers assigned to CovenMarker and change it to ForswornMarker
I tried this on the NVGO 5.2 wabbajack and it crashes a ton. Without it, runs fine. But its not a crash to desktop, sound freezes and the whole PC literally has to be shut down. IDK if it plays nice with the most current AE patch which NVGO 5.2 runs on.
So for the peeps that want to use this mod but want to stay updated on latest version do we first install the 4.2.1 and later have the 1.5.97 version overwrite it?
This mod didn't say anything about what version number it was. I think making this have NG support for all versions would be the best way to end all discourse on the version issues.
Please put the version number the mod supports on the download description. This is a common practice with the d/l sections. That way no one is surprised. Thanks!
Despite picking the Pogfish of Destiny for the unknown/undiscovered map marker, and setting the necessary toggles in the INI file to "Obscure" (1), it still shows the Nordic UI question mark for some reason. I read when choosing the Pogfish of Destiny that I have to toggle with the INI file so I did, so I don't know what I did wrong.
Hi Jel, hope ur well. There appears to be an issue with the ReachTribe marker in comparresources.swf.
I believe this was replaced entirely by the Coven marker in a previous update, so this wouldn't be noticeable in the current version. I was going to fix it myself since I quite like the design and use a config to apply it to several locations but I guess it is technically a "bug" and worth reporting.
i installed a few extra mods mainly character textures and clotting , my map now goes purple :/
i placed them under a custom separator named my mods, currently under 29. patches and tools but doesn't seems to make a difference where i move them. i also run loot

ps: disabling the mods wont solve the issue
