Crazy question, but hopefully someone will give me a clue on WTF is happening!
If I have "Dark Dreams Skirt" (Apparel type "-") equipped, it takes up Slot 52 per "Body Slots MCM" and per SSEEdit. (Dark Dreams-54567-1-3-1631220893) from https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/54567
If I equip "C5Kev's Black Bandit Corset" (Apparel type "Body") it removes "Dark Dreams Skirt" even though per SSEEdit, it takes Slot 32. BUT "Body Slots MCM" says it is on Slot 52!!! (C5Kev's Black Bandit Armor 3BA-55601-2-1632685071) from https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/55601
If you've got Schlongs Of Skyrim installed then, even on female characters, anything in Slot 32 will HIDE anything in Slot 52. (You still have it on - you can confirm this with something in Slot 52 that has an armor value - but you can't see it.) UNLESS you go into SoS, to the 2nd tab Player/NPC Settings, and on that page will be (the item you have in Slot 32) and a box (Revealing). Check/click on that box. Now SoS will allow both THAT SINGLE Slot 32 item and any Slot 52 item at the same time. You will have to go into SoS -> Player/NPC Settings -> click Revealing for each item using Slot 32 you wish to have a Slot 52 visible.
This mod is great, helped me found out why I couldn't equip pauldron in slot 57. It was Heels Sound Ring (not sure from which mod) that's blocking the equip, I guess I will have to disable the two heels sound mods for now.
Thank you for sharing this mod, it will be very useful to many for sure, however anyone already using SkyUI can turn on a column to show the slot number in the inventory armour list. This works for all armour lists. Still this will be handy for anyone not using SkyUI for whatever reason.
There is a SkyUI mod on Nexus Body Slots - SkyUI - the published version isn't working for later versions of SkyUI, but one user (uranreactor) has fixed it and the fixed version is linked in the posts - this fixed one works
Slightly different use case. While SkyUI mods will show you what slots are being used by current equipment, this mod shows what slots are currently used andnot being used and available. That's where this comes in handy.
lollie145874 states that anyone already using SkyUI can turn on a column to show the slot number in the inventory armor list. However, unless he can clarify, this is apparently incorrect. While using SkyUI, in 'Inventory' Under 'Apparel' & then click the Gear Icon (Top Right) is a list of what can be displayed. It reads: 'Type' (What the piece of apparel is for: Amulet, Feet, Hands, Body, Circlet, Ears...) 'Class' (Jewelry, Light (Armor) Heavy, Clothing, Other, etc.) 'Material' (Leather, Elven, Other, Etc..) 'Armor' (i.e., how much the AR Value is) 'Weight' (The value in pounds, etc.) 'Value' (It's Worth) & 'Value/Weight' (Value per pound, etc.) and that is ALL... This Mod looks very useful. Going to give it a try. Thanks so much, to the Author.
I asked in another tread but no reply...not sure it can be done, but will ask anyway Is it possible to add a on-off switch to each body slot to make any item equipped in the activated slots to be not removable, droppable, or not "visible" from guards, etc ? Problem is that some items can be equipped (fingernails, toenails, wings, tails, ears, horns, etc.) but if you are jailed, or if emprisoned or enslaved (using mods like death alternatives for example), they are removed. I didn't find any mods that can actually avoid this so I thought maybe there is a way to do (mark as quest the item if equipped in an activated slot ? Make an activated slot to be equal to the slot where are hairs ? No idea...) As I'm not a modder and have no idea if or how it can be done I prefer to ask to more skilled guys....
