    <--3.0 CHANGELOG-->

    Updates:
    - Remade Aspen/Birch, (some) Spruce and (almost all) Pine Models.
    - Overhauled all the regions with new species for more natural variety.
    - The rivers around some places now have wetland Alder, but they're most common around riverwood/falkreath.
    - Added a variety of over 100 new tree models to fit the ulvenwald aesthetic.
    - Added 8 new tree species - Norwegian Red Pine, Scots Pine, Ash, Alder, Oak, Elm, Sycamore, Douglas Fir.
    - Falkreath has been remade, adding new species variation and a couple "unique" locations. Now features all of the new species.
    - Whiterun Tundra now hosts scots pine, ash, and occasional spruce/fir.
    - Eastmarch dominated by new red pine models, also has some alder, ash and sycamore added.
    - Morthal Swamp is currently just dead pine trees since I cannot decide what to do with it.
    - Haafingar is mostly spruce and douglas fir, but also has some birch, ash and sycamore added.
    - Rift now features Birch, Elm, Sycamore and rarely Oak all in their autumn colours. Colours in Rift now feature some "transitional" colours.

    Extra Info:
    - not all things in the game are retextured/replaced, some driftwoods use default texture paths because I don't mind how they look.
    - I probably won't make new models for the fallen trees and probably won't use quixel models for them either since I don't think
      megascans fit the mods aesthetic.

    Fixes:
    -Fixed Sleeping Tree
-Fixed Various Beehive/Bird nest mesh issues (the ones I could find)
-Fixed Various issues with textures not being replaced properly for unique regions
    <--REGARDING SEASONS SUPPORT-->
-This *M A Y* be something I do after I'm happy with the general state of the mod. It will take me a long time though, I have 617 models in this mod as of right now
with base references that ALL need separate season models and references, it will take me a long time and I'm not willing to do that right now, but it may be a project
     I do in the future.

Thank you all for your support!

    some changes:

-no more firs in Haafingar due to seasons compatibility issues in my esp.

Be sure to report any problems you have so I can hopefully fix it at some point.

Thank you all for your continued support, you guys help make all the hard work worth it! <3

Hi! I'm just a curious idiot, passing by

Was the 4K version that overkill? I mean, my pc is a beast, so it was running those 4k textures quite handsomely, but I completely understand that you ended up not proposing the 4k textures anymore: mods need to be for everyone, even on potatoe pcs. How much of fps drop are we talking about? Is there a really big difference visually speaking in the end? 2k looks good, anyway, but I just wanted to know ;)

I play on a 3080ti and in some areas it was like a 10fps difference. I play on 1440p and I don't notice a visual difference, so unless you are on 4k the mod should basically look the same. There isn't a single triple A game that runs 4k textures for their flora unless its a unique model.

I can provide some feedback on resolution. I've got a 3840x2160 display (also 3080ti) and comparing my gameplay screenshots side by side on the same trees, 2K Ulvenwald is exactly identical to 4K from a short to medium distance. Up close there is some difference but that's only with my character's face right up against the tree trunks (btw I have 20/10 vision). Trees don't benefit from 4K anywhere near as much as landscape/rocks do because those are way more stretched out than any tree.

And yes it's noticeably improved the random stuttering in heavily forested areas. I think these new Ulvenwald textures are more optimised or something.

    -ANIMATIONS UPDATE-

    Updates/Changes:
    - Added animations to all relevant trees in the game, and for all seasons.
    - Some meshes will have changed due to them either not being compatible or just being better suited to the new animations
    - The collision on some of the animated trees is not ideal, due to scaling issues with the collision inside the nif. 1 Aspen has no collision currently.

    - Draw calls will be much higher as a result of the new animation nodes, so if you experience lag or low fps be sure to use the older version of the mod
    - One of the shorter oaks has tiny but noticeable gaps at the base of the mesh, can be changed at a later date, right now as long as everything works I'm happy

For three days now I've been trying to solve the issue where LODs that are generated are visible from far, but when I get close the LOD dissapears but there is not tree there. It is like LODs are generated for non-existent trees. I tried normal setting, HD Trees and ultra where LODs are generated as objects, but the issue is always the same, the LODs don't seem to match the actual trees.

    any ideas?

OK... I didn't notice since doing this for the first time, my path to plugins.txt wasn't correct, so the only thing that got loaded was the base game.

Need help please. Looked everywhere, and i cant find s#*! in terms of how to remove this or make it at least look better. I haven't really seen these nasty 2D roots or whatever anywhere else besides on this one tree that got added by Immersive Fallen Trees or Ulvenwald, but if i had to guess its probably Immersive Fallen Trees that put this specific tree here. Im not exactly sure because using more informative console and clicking around, both mods pop up. I don't think the mods are the issue. I think these nasty 2D lod looking things are in the base game. Ive searched around for any mod that might remove them or make them look better and no dice. Any help on eradicating them would be appreciated.

Edit: There are similar looking branches on trees added by Ulvenwald specifically, as shown on the second image.

these are default parts of the default fallen tree mesh, I don't think they are actually included in my mod. One thing to do is use informative console to find the nif of that fallen tree, then go into your game files and open it with nifskope and delete the ugly roots.

If you want an easier way that *should* fix it:

Ive never heard of Nifskope and from what I can see it looks complicated to my monkey brain, much like SSEEdit. The mod you recommended I had already used and unfortunately it does not remove them. Its a shame no mod does this specifically, because going through files and moving stuff or deleting things is pretty hard for me to understand, especially when other programs are involved. Guess ill just have to let it be because there doesn't seem like much I can do about it. Thanks anyway and I appreciate the assistance.

Edit: I decided to just try that program you talked about because screw it, maybe it will actually work I got it running and then found the Nif of the tree which was S3DTrees_treepineforestuprooted01.nif and i opened it up. It looked...horrible to say the least. Not sure what to make of this picture below.

My guess is that a texture is messed up or something. No idea.

if you'd like me to show you how to do it, you cant contact me on discord and I'll help you ^_^

      my username is just "wigfrid".

there is a reason its purple in nifskope as well btw but its not because its broken, the file paths nifskope can recognise need to be manually selected for textures to show up.

Love this mod. Must have been massive work to get this done.
There are quite a few floating trees around Riverwood, Helgen, and Falkreath. Seem to only be pinetrees found in those areas. I have for example not found any floating pinetrees along the eastern foot of the Throat of the World. Different kind of pine forrest.
I've managed to fix a few of them myself by making a patch in SSEEdit where I gave them new coordinates on the up/down axis (can't remember now if z or y is up/down in Skyrim). However, some trees still remain floating, as if something else is overriding the coordinates. Especially dead pine trees. A few other as well.
Still, it's an amazing mod that lifts Skyrim to a new level.

Am i doing something wrong with Dyndolod? I can't seem to reach the amount of trees in the screenshots or in the video.
I do notice new trees and forests are definitely better looking than vanilla. Still compared to the photos on the mod page and in the video on the main page, my game looks quite barren.

Great mod. Is it OK to install it after Happy Little Trees and Aspen Blaze?

It will overwrite what these mods do... Unless you patch them, it's a matter of choice.

the guy who exported the animations for the new update had to export the models from a new version of the modeller, which kinda resulted in a bunch of trees unknowingly being like this, sadly I can't fix that right now. What you can do though if you want is replace the new NewScotsPine file with the no animations version from 3.2.1 and it will fix this problem.

Hi, a wonderfull mod that I never leave out of my modlist, thanks.

Recently I added JK's Skyrim and there is one tree in Rorickstead that I can't find patch for (There is one but needs 3D trees too).

Any one know what patch to use for that one?

both are seasons compatible, if the animations are extreme, its because you have another mod installed effecting the intensity of the wind effects like skyrim flora overhaul.

Are there any recommended alternatives or fixes for this? I use Flora but idk what else to use instead or fix whatever wind values are being affected.
