About this mod

A simple mod that removes what many people are considering as a 'spam box'.
Designed for v1.6.629 game version.

Permissions and credits
This mod is designed for the 1.6.629 version of the game,
and is working as intended.
I mean the WHOLE game version, NOT just the executable!!!

It MIGHT work on subsequent versions,
but it was not tested by the author.
It DOES NOT WORK properly on previous versions,
and causes various issues.

Only
the news are disabled. You can still access the Creation Club with this UI mod.

Small technical information about this mod :

The CC News ad panel and the Anniversary Edition Upgrade banner are simply deleted. No other modification. This mod can theorically NOT break anything...

Description

After updating to Skyrim ANNIVERSARY EDITION v1.6.318 (or greater), you are greeted with a giant spam box on your Main Menu screen.  I dislike this, so I modded the Main Menu interface file to get rid of it.

Instructions

If there are several 7z files available for download, you have to download ONLY ONE. Just pick the one that matches your expectations.

Drag the Interface folder from the 7z archive into your Skyrim Special Edition\Data folder.  That's it.

To uninstall, just delete the ***.swf  file(s) from your Data\Interface folder.

Compatibility

Not compatible with anything that modifies StartMenu.swf.  Compatible with everything else.  Has no effect on the actual game, this is just the launch menu, so it won't affect gameplay, savegames, or anything else.  Can be removed at any time.

Also available on Bethesda.net for PC, and for XBOX ONE / Series.

This is a simple port to Skyrim Special Edition of "
No More Creation Club News" (originally designed for Fallout 4) by InAComaDial999All credits go to him !

Credits

InAComaDial999 for the original Fallout 4 mod that was the source of inspiration.
Jindra Petřík for JPEXS Free Flash Decompiler, the tool I used to modify the file.
Bethesda for Skyrim VaRiOuS Editions, the Creation Club, and the original menu file.
