Noob question, but is this modlist guide only for those who bought the upgrade or rather for those who got updated, i.e didn't pay? Or is there no difference for modding purposes and I'm being silly?
The guide is written assuming you bought the upgrade (there are some mods that will do nothing if you don't have all the creation club content) but with that being said, it will also work for games that have only updated without the upgrade. Just skip any mods that change creation club content from the upgrade so you don't waste download time/storage space. If you're in doubt just download everything and any plugin that isn't compatible should have a red (!) beside it after you run LOOT since it'll have the creation club .esp as a dependency.
Gotcha, thanks! Also many thanks for the detailed guide in general, it's a great resource to get back into the game. Btw, JContainer has been updated on Github, so for the O-frameworks we're just waiting on a Mfg Fix update/patch
Hello, I'm looking for a "dumb proof" (because you know, I'm dumb) way to get grass lod within Skyrim AE. I'm messing my modlist everytime I try to figure out how to do it. Is this guide meant to have grass lod as well? It's too complicated. I need some help :c
This modlist doesn't add grass textures but, download DynDOLOD and follow the documentation inside the "doc" folder it comes with. It's pretty well written and easy to follow.
Currently working through this, just finishing up the all bodies section, and I'm running into problems with Project jKj only half-working. I'm taking a more free-form approach, and using a couple other appearance mods, so I know those aren't technically supported by this list. Just wondering if you may have ran into a similar issue and the workaround wasn't listed in the section? Project jKj's page says to do some additional archive overwriting with BeastHHBB, though I know what I'm encountering isn't caused specifically by that. Any advice is welcome, thanks in advanced.
It's hard to say without knowing what "half-working" means. If it means you're missing the cat leg bodies then try using the custom skeletons (XPMSSE) version for these. If you mean there are people walking around naked, I had this once and reinstalling the mod fixed it.
Ah geez that slipped my mind. Half-working means that some are converted while others are not. I moved myself to Ma'dran to test, Ra'zhinda had the Senche appearance, by Ma'dran look like a basic Skyrim Khajiit instead of the advertised Ohmes. The only other listed override I'm getting is with an appearance mod for the Volkihars, and the only other mods that I know are affecting Khajiit are the skin texture mods from this guide, then BHHBB, and Diversity which I've overwritten with other appearance mods before. Any ideas are appreciated, I'll try reinstalling these parts. Thanks again.
The reinstall suggestion worked! But now I've found another issue. I worked through all the actual downloads though and this is a pretty good base for me. My issue is with FSMP, its hdtSMP64.dll is causing an SKSE loader error, saying it isn't compatible. I noticed there's two main files, with the 1.18 version matching the guide directions, which I'm assuming may be the source of the issue considering the other version is 1.39. I installed the 1.39 version myself and was able to launch, so I think the guide needs updating to match the more recent version's FOMOD?
Something that initially confused me is that, when you run BodySlide through MO2, the generated mesh files do not actually go into the BodySlide Output mod. If the mesh files already exist in another mod, MO2 will direct BodySlide's output to that mod's folder rather than writing it into the output mod (or the overwrite folder if you don't set an output mod).
EDIT: That's not to say the output mod is not necessary. If the BodySlide generation creates new files (e.g. tri files) then those will go into the output mod.
So I got Himbo like you said and it looks good, but the guys still wear buttflaps when nude. What mod could I add to get rid of this, Im using flower girls and yeah we all know.
Second what mod should I remove if I want to use Cotr https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/27405 and in particular this preset, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/49313 The hair is all good cos that does not conflict with any mods, but something messes with cotr and has the mouth looking wonky and the eyes sitting on the cheeks.
Schlongs of Skyrim SE by galgaroth (this adds cocks and dicks) - Download Schlongs_of_Skyrim_SE - v1.1.4.rar and install manually SoS AE by chuckseven1 (this is a patch for SoS that makes it compatible with AE, make sure it overwrites SoS) - Download SoS AE 1.0.3.7z and install manually. Slightly-Improved Male Penis for HIMBO by Kreiste (improves the way SoS meshes with HIMBO) - Download whichever suits your setup (physics or not)
Put both SoS mods before HIMBO and put SIMP after HIMBO in your load order. If you didn't select the SoS options from the HIMBO FOMOD, you'll need to reinstall HIMBO and select those.
Just like that you've got dick and balls. SoS comes with MCM support to change sizes and toggle dicks as well. Let me know if you have any trouble.
As for COtR, I've never used it so I have no idea. From the look of it, it should be compatible with everything here but I'd suggest flipping mods on/off in batches (starting with the Female Bodies section) to try and find the culprit.
Awesome thanks for the replies and help. I am actually an old modder but some of the newer mods that are dependent on other mods which need other mods gets a bit confusing to get the load and install order right.
I’ve been wanting to tryout LOTD. However I find downgrading my game engine to pre AE level unacceptable after having paid the upgrade fee. Do you think the introduction of LOTD into your process is sustainable?
The gear is actually my least favourite part of w&c so i usually turn most of it off (i only leave gloves and face coverings on). I find most of the gear (specifically the hoods) mesh really badly with the other outfits. The only reason I use wet and cold is to get the sound/visual effects so I recommend using it alone, personally.
