This mod is going backwards, to Elder Scrolls III when it was 100% luck and nothing else. At least Skyrim's lockpicking system takes into account a measure of skill, but there's a mod that makes it even easier: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/26838
Which still has the minigame, which some of us don't like. I'd much rather have automatic lockpicking with dice rolls. It's not like the author doesn't tell you exactly what this mod does...
Essential mod in my loadout. The only change I'd make is to prompt with a yes/no dialog if picking the lock is a crime. Too many times, I will go to open a merchant shop door during the day when it's locked (Belethor is notorious for this) and make an immediate lock pick attempt which gets me a bounty.
This is an absolutely amazing and fantastic mod that is a great way to mix up lockpicking in your Skyrim without having to play a stupid minigame. I've been using it for a year now. Endorsed!
(Also, my character becomes woefully buggy if I critically fail a roll and fall limp to the ground. But, that's probably a problem on my end involving too many animation mods installed at the same time.)

And when you get the "Critical Success!" it's such a dopamine rush, love it.
