- Changelogs
-
-
Version 4.0.2
- Removed an unused spell that Rahgot somehow still had (Main File + Simonrim).
-
Version 4.0.1
- Very minor update changing the enchantments on Vahlok's and Suleyk's (Wyrmstooth Patch) masks and adjusting generic masks' keywords and names in preparation for Armory of the Dragon Cult 2. No changes besides that.
-
Version 4.0
- Reuploaded the Wyrmstooth patch as it contained FormIDs outside of ESL range.
- MAIN FILE
- Expert/Master spell progression levels changed to 25/40. 30/50 felt like it took too long to see Expert spells and you'd feasibly never see Master spells.
- Generic priests start spawning in place of Draugr bosses at level 25.
- Named priests have a 2x PC Level Mult, starting at level 25 in Skyrim and level 40 on Solstheim. Miraak and Vahlok start at level 50. This ensures that named priests will scale in difficulty more smoothly, without the player severely overtaking them regardless of level gap.
- Melee priests have the same passive ability as their mage counterparts now.
- Vahlok's Magic Resistance was reduced so he isn't fucking immune to magic with Armory of the Dragon Cult installed.
- Dragon Priest Shades have a cooler visual effect.
- Unaggressive Dragon Priest Fix no longer required but still strongly recommended as that mod has now been implemented with SPID for better compatibility.
- Mysticism requirement removed. In the same vein as Dragon Cult and Lawless, I have decided to move Mysticism spells to a Simonrim addon file, which enables me to add Adamant perks but also consume Artificer's Dragon Priest Staves module so that Simon doesn't have to feel agony updating it every time I update King-Priest.
- WYRMSTOOTH PATCH
- Suleyk now actually feels like a fucking boss fight.
-
Version 3.1.2
- Removed edits to dragon priest mask armoraddons.
- Adds new textures for generic masks and Vahlok courtesy of Xavbio!
-
Version 3.1.1
- Very minor update, adds Antiquary's shout cooldown reduction to Vahlok for users of both mods. This does not require a patch, only Antiquary 2.3 onward.
- Also applies to Suleyk in the Wyrmstooth patch.
- Vahlok has 20% reduction, Suleyk has 15%.
-
Version 3.1
- Spellsword Dragon Priests have had their spells altered because Draugr cannot cast spells from the right hand or dual-cast and this entirely breaks their AI causing them to not attack. Some spells have been outright removed from them because there's no "LeftHand" versions and I really, really, really, really don't want to make like 15 left hand spells.
- Miraak has had his bonus armor rating and magic resist removed. I've been balancing under the assumption that Blade and Blunt's 75% resist cap works for enemies too and so Miraak has unintentionally been fucking immune to magic this entire time. If you use Antiquary or Stormcrown, he'll have 25% magic resist (Stormcrown changes Dragon Aspect to give 25% magic resist on the third word), and if you use both together, he'll have 50% so This is Fine™.
- (Wyrmstooth Patch) Suleyk's mask has an effect that isn't turbo garbage and fits with the theme of "power" now.
-
Version 3.0
- The Mysticism add-on has been rolled into the main file. This means that Mysticism is now a hard requirement and renders the old add-on file obsolete. This allows me to have greater freedom with adding new spells to Dragon Priests out-of-the-box and ensures that I don't have to update two files every time. Recommend starting a new game just to be safe with this one.
- In the future, add-ons for magic mods will have framework built into the main file for less headaches.
- Oh yeah, Abyss add-on exists, gives Vokun access to that mod's Shadow spells.
- Named Dragon Priests now have Dragonhide and Grand Ward.
- Dragon Priests now gain access to Absorb Magicka/Stamina spells. Have fun with that, lol.
- Generic Dragon Priests now gain access to Ebonyflesh, Greater Ward, Drain Life, Drain Magicka, Drain Stamina, and Vampiric Blast at higher levels.
- Elemental cloaks are now in a separate leveled list because apparently Todd hates me and I have to do this now to lessen the chances of Dragon Priests just switching between multiple cloak spells instead of actually attacking.
- The Guardian now gains access to Absorb spells and staves at higher levels.
- "All staff" leveled lists are now much cleaner because I just use the single element staff lists instead of having like 12 entries. Much nicer to look at.
- Removes all instances of ambush melee priests placed in certain cells, improving compatibility with The Dragon Cult regardless of which order you load the two plugins in. You might still have to load King-Priest afterward for the BFB dragon priest if Delta still hasn't uploaded the updated King-Priest patch I sent him, smh.
- Also adds support for Inventory Interface Information Injector (I4). Dragon Priest Masks added by King-Priest now use a custom inventory icon made by Jelidity.
-
Version 2.2.1
- Fixed tempering recipes on generic Dragon Priest masks and Vahlok's mask consuming the item being tempered.
-
Version 2.2
- Unrelenting Force has been added to the list of shouts melee Dragon Priests can use. The Guardian can only use Unrelenting Force because Fire Breath and Frost Breath are a bit too strong for this boss, which is intended to be fought early in the game.
- Leveled spells have been tweaked so that Dragon Priests won't randomly not have spells they should have by default. Why would you do this to me, Todd.
-
Version 2.1
- Generic mage Dragon Priests now spawn with leveled staves. Apparently there was an entirely separate type of Dragon Priest that was specifically supposed to have staves and none of the others did? That was dumb, so I changed it.
- There are now varieties of generic mage Dragon Priests that can use multiple elements.
- The boss of Bleak Falls Barrow has been changed to a unique named Dragon Priest - The Guardian. This Dragon Priest is much weaker than other varieties, sporting lower-level spells and lower stats. Thank you to AndrealphusVIII for helping me get this working properly!
-
Version 2.0
- Sweeping balance changes for the sake of making Dragon Priests more fun to fight. Encounters are balanced for players at level 30 but you could probably fight them at level 20 with preparation.
- Stats have been reduced, spells have been leveled (Expert spells get used at level 30+, Master spells at 50+). Overall, less one-shotting the player, more fair challenge.
- The Conjure Dragon Priest spell now summons Shades of the eight Skyrim priests because I thought that was FLAVORFUL.
- Desperation Mode - It's like "pinch mode" from other games, below half health, named Dragon Priests (except Miraak) lose health regeneration and gain both buffs and debuffs to spice up the fight a bit more.
- Melee Dragon Priests - Because variety is nice. Also, pretty sure there were warrior priests at the very least in actual lore.
-
Version 1.2.2
- Added missing tempering recipes for generic Dragon Priest Masks and Vahlok's mask. Whoops.
-
Version 1.2.1
- Generic Dragon Priests now spawn with masks of their own, with meshes and textures made by Jelidity. Krosis' mask is now silver to keep it unique.
-
Version 1.2
- Vahlok now has his own mask, with meshes and textures made by Jelidity. Please check out her work!
-
Version 1.1
- Health regeneration of Dragon Priests has been reduced by 66% because holy fuck was it too high.
- Unaggressive Dragon Priests Fix by AndrealphusVIII is now a required master in order to fix potential issues of Dragon Priests not attacking.
-
Version 1.0
- Initial release.
